if you want low insurance dont go to them comparison sites coz they wont do sh*t for you. You need to find a cowboy broker they will find you the best deal

Yep, changed my adress a few weeks ago even tho I now park on a drive and its a relatively safe area

These cars have been ragged to death,just look at police cars being driven and you can tell

But they may have been serviced well

My mate had a TT and said although it had good service history etc a lot of things generally go wrong with them and are quite expensive to repair + soon as you put your foot down the petrol just disapears... That said though he got his for 6500 so would of had higher milage than 1 you could get for 10 bags.. now he's got a Mazda RX-8 (like below) and says' he prefers it a lot more interms of when the turbo kicks in (higher revs) etc

Each to there own though i would pick out a good 5-10 options then go have a test drive of each and take it from there.

Rx8s are terrible. Drink oil and petrol like no business. Require engine rebuilds every 60-80k

They have come down massively in price for that reason.

End of the day, a TT is a VAG car, which means good residuals and good reliabilty..

like i said each to there own, it's ok coming with that info but if you haven't owned both cars then it's pointless imo

RX8 is sh*t on fuel, drinks lots of oil and you have to rags the car to see it at its best. All points due to the rotory engine.

someone can obviously tell if 1 car drinks more petrol than another..he if says his TT drank more than the RX-8 then i believe that over you searching some online forums and taking what random people say who haven't even got the car

Before you dip x amount into buying a car do you not read reviews from reliable sources such as parkers or autocar?

also re: the tt, theres 3 different engines, 180bhp, 225bhp both of which are 1.8 turbo, if you stay off the boost you'll achieve good mpg. id say 25-30mpg if kicking it and 40ish on a sensible motorway cruise. Theres was also a 3.2 model, not sure bout the mpg's on those but it was NA.

Yeh but id trust a mates judgement who's had both cars for a while when it comes to fuel consumption

anyway i wasn't saying the RX-8 is better and i personally don't like the car (looks wise) was just saying what i heard from a mate that's had both cars around the same age.

My first car was a mark 4 golf and ever since then golf's in general have been my fav car so with 10 bags id buy the best 1 i could.... Haven't read the info but something similar to this:

i know a security firm got caught up to no good recently and the old bill shut em down and took all their company cars etc, load of new bm 3 series.

i imagine they will be doing damaged cars for really cheap as well.
