Konchesky has cost us nearly a goal a game.

Torres

As long as Hodgson is manager we will finish 12th or below. I know this, and have come to terms with it.

Ahh well.

But Andy Carroll is a problem!

What goals was Konchesky at fault for

It was Skrtel and Lucas that are at fault imo, Lucas just stood there like a plum and watch Carrolll have 10 seconds to compose himself for a shot.

This is quite possibly Roy Hodgson’s tactics board for Liverpool’s match against Newcastle on Sunday – but as yet, it is unverified.

The picture was posted on Twitter by Ben Smith, a journalist for The Times, with the accompanying caption, “Was this Roy Hodgson’s tactics board v #nufc? #lfc refusing to confirm or deny”.

If it is, it would be a quite spectacular security breach for Liverpool – on the day that club owners John W Henry and Tom Werner took questions on the Reds’ own television channel.

Presuming the board is genuine for the sake of playing devil’s advocate, the tactics outlined seem decent enough – the move to take advantage of space either side of Cheik Tiote was a clever one, and the desire to have at least three players in the box to attack crosses showed a more ambitious approach to previous performances.

The trouble is, these instructions didn’t seem to be followed by Liverpool’s players, with players sitting back too deep without the ball and failing to provide support to Fernando Torres and David Ngog.

More worrisome still, Martin Skrtel and Sotirios Kyrgiakos failed to deal with the aerial threat of Andy Carroll in the air – despite usually being so dominant aerially. The Magpies striker won 16 of 18 challenges in the air, and 17 of 20 including those on the ground.

In fairness to Hodgson, that’s not something he can control. Once players are on the pitch, it is in their hands.

What should not happen though, is for something like this to be leaked, and if it is verified as genuine then these are very worrying times for Hodgson indeed.

Thoughts?

I've tried to steer clear of Hodgson's interviews for a while but I saw this yesterday.

The nice guy image peddled by so many is way off the mark because all I've come noticed is he's arrogant with no justification, unwilling to accept responsibility, willing to throw anyone under the bus to put himself in a better light and a liar.

How do the players feel about a guy that constantly goes on about how poor the team is. Rafa never said dat, he would defend his players and focus his tirade at someone/something else. You need a manager that believes in you.

The team is poor but they will be even worse with a c*nt like this in charge. Dislike this guy more than Houllier

f*ck off and get sacked plz

He's taking the piss.

'The only team with better results than us over the last 5 or 6 games is the arsenal or maybe man utd now. If you take the last 5 or 6 games we're right up there'

No we're not, based on the form of the last 6 games we're 11th. How he thinks he can get away with blatant lies like this is beyond me.

Saying that nobody could better our position without an influx of cash is in start contrast to what he said in his interview for the job when he said he felt he could get the best out of the squad as is off the back of a poor season.

Taking shots at our 'so called star players', how about you play to the strengths of said players instead of this sh*t brand of football you're persisting with?

He will blame anyone but himself, you'd think Purslow would be exempt seen as he actually got him the job but last week he was blaming him for certain players leaving whilst saying he didn't listen to his advice on other players.

Sooner he goes the better.
