Match Day 23

Some haters here.

Just because he isn't of R9's calibre, doesn't mean he doesn't deserve to challenge the record.

End of the day, he's been in 1 WC final & 2 semi's. Nothing to scoff at, if he did match/beat it (which he won't), you couldn't say he didn't deserve it.

MJ biggest selling artist of all time

How would you feel if someone like Justin Beiber beat that record hed deserve if he could sell that number of records etc

Fought you was a football fan

smh

Didnt really care who won, just glad Ronaldo's record wasn't equaled/broken.

Pedro was excellent. Should have passed but it was a foul still.

YOU DO KNOW THERES STILL THE 3RD/4TH PLACE MATCH RIGHT?

sh*t, completely forgot

hope he doesnt play

it would be a crime if he beats Ronaldo's record

After Germany lost out against Spain in the World Cup semi-finals, the German fans are calling to kill Paul, the psychic octopus, who had predicted that Spain would win the do-or-die clash.

Spain outplayed Germany in the Game as Puyol found the deciding headed goal in the 74th minute which was enough to take Germany out of the World Cup contention.

After Paul’s prediction, German fans had been praying that the two-year-old octopus, who was born in Britain and later moved to the German aquarium in Oberhausen, had made a mistake when he chose the Spaniards to triumph.

After the match some sections of the crowd were also singing anti-octopus songs.

According to a local newspaper, there have been “a host of comments on Facebook, Twitter suggesting Paul should be fried, barbecued or turned into a seafood salad or paella,” as according to ANI reports

“Others wanted to throw him into the shark tank,” The Sydney Morning Herald quoted the paper, as having written on its website.

Paul had correctly predicted Germany’s win over England and Argentina before making a prediction that Spain would win against Germany in the Semi-finals.

If the eight-limbed oracle survives the threats, the fans would be thinking twice about dismissing his advice in future

Paul’s celebrity, it seems, knows no bounds. His predictions are carried live on German television (“The Decision,” starring Paul!), and even a Spanish celebrity chef has banned octopus dishes from his restaurant following Paul’s winning prediction of Spain over Germany.

Angry and sad German fans are blaming an octopus for their World Cup exit and are threatening to EAT HIM.

Paul is not a normal octopus. He is a psychic one. He has managed to predict every Germany game correctly throughout this year’s tournament.

His home team has been knocked out, but Paul is still a winner.

After the eight-legged animal predicted Spain would beat Germany, their fans prayed that the cephalopod had made an uncharacteristic c*ck-up.

But now, even hardened critics of Paul must be thinking twice before dismissing his advice.

Paul became a world-wide celebrity after correctly predicting 100% of Germany’s results. He predicted that they would beat Australia in their opening match, then lose to Serbia, and then beat Ghana. He also forecasted the German victories against England and Argentina.

He is such a star in his home country that German news channel n-tv, broadcasted Paul’s Germany vs. Spain prediction live.

Paul lived up to the drama and made everyone bite their nails waiting for his answer. He initially moved towards the Spanish container, before moving over the tank, and hovering over the German box.

However, he eventually opted to eat the mussels in the Spanish box, horrifying the German football-lovers.

They cannot be too downhearted. They may be out of the World Cup, but they are home to the star of this year’s tournament.

Germany is not the first country to make a threat towards the sea creature. After the quarter-final prediction where Paul correctly guessed Argentina would lose to Germany, the South Americans threatened to kill the octopus and put it in a paella.

An Argentinian newspaper, El Diaeven, printed this recipe for anyone daring to capture Paul:

“All you need is four normal potatoes, olive oil for taste and a little pepper.”

German fans have now turned against Paul. On Berlin’s “fan-mile”, some sections of the crowd were singing anti-octopus songs.

There has been a number of comments on Facebook and Twitter suggesting Paul should be “fried, barbecued or turned into a seafood salad or paella.” Others wanted to throw him into the shark tank.

He still has one more prediction for Germany. Will they come third or fourth? The decision is up to Paul.

Oh...

And banging in goals with Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Kaka, Leonardo, etc around you...

Compared to Schneider, Ballack (fair enough, was approaching his prime in 2002, player of the tournament behind Ronaldo), Schweinsteiger, etc? Germany's unit was solid, but nowhere near as creative & in the same class as Brazil.

End of the day, Klose is an absolute goal machine. He LIVES for the World Cup. Of course he deserves to be up there.
