[Gambino]

Watched a long run through of the online mode and wrote down a view pointers that they mentioned. Some already known and some not.

 

• Map: It's the same in online as single player but it may be expanded in the future.
• Prequel: Online modes time scale is sorta a prequel to the single player mode.
• Single Player Characters: They will appear in the online mode also.
• Customization: Change Hairstyle, Clothing, Weapons, Cars & also Animations I.E. You can flip somebody the bird.
• Respect: You build your respect level online by pulling off jobs and earning money.
• Hits: You can pay to have hits done on people online.
• Banking: Have to get a right blend between banking your money & carrying cash. It is dangerous to carry money on you, if somebody fucks you up and you are carrying a lot of money with you it will all spill out onto the street and you will lose it through robbery etc.
• Invest: Can Invest Cash in properties and stock markets etc
• Gambling: Can gamble on events such as races.
• Car Insurance: Wise to buy Car Insurance. If you spend time and money customizing a car and then it gets stolen or wrote off you can get it replaced with a small premium if it is insured.
• New Content: Rockstar will continually be adding new content to online mode.
• Create: You can create your own content and create your own missions etc.
• Cell Phone: You use your cell phone in order to dial your friends and ask them to join you in an online game.
• Lip Sync: When you are speaking via your headsets your virtual player will move his mouth to lip sync you.
• Radio: Your mates can control the radio in your car whilst your driving if they don't like the music they can change it.
• Interactive Menu: Gives you access to Hats, Glasses, Masks.
• In Game AI: When you are doing a robbery with your mates, if you start shouting aggresively down your mic telling the guy to hurry the fuck up and put the cash in the bag, the A.I. Will recognize the tone in your voice and react to it.
• The Instigator: If you organize a crime and then pull it off, you control the cash and decide how you want to split it with the other players.
• Sharing: When doing Jobs you can share cash or weapons with your mates if they need it.
• Moods: You can set your game mood to happy or sad etc to show other people.
• Cars: Cars show their individual stats etc when in your garage, also roofs can electronically come down on convertibles.
• Stealth: Can use stealth attacks on missions as noises can sometimes give you away.
• Pickups: If you end up in the middle of nowhere you can ring up somebody you employ to come pick you up as well as Taxis. Same as previous GTA.
• The Feed: GTAV version of twitter where all your info goes.
• Answer the Door: When friends come to your house they buzz the door to let you know they are outside for you to let them in.
• CCTV: You can view CCTV camera of who is at the door, probably in case of ambushes etc.
• News Broadcast: If your mates are being chased by police you can turn on your TV and watch them on the live news feed.
• Special Delivery: You can get Choppers and Planes delivered to your private air pads.

You can smoke weed!

 

Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5 will let you smoke bongs and once again visit prostitutes, a new ESRB rating for the game has revealed.

 

The US board has collected together a detailed list of the game's various violent sections, digital sex acts and drug use (thanks, Kotaku).

 

Fair warning, the following contains very mild spoilers.

 

"Players use pistols, machine guns, sniper rifles, and explosives to kill various enemies (e.g., rival gang members); players also have the ability to shoot non-adversary civilians, though this may negatively affect players' progress as a penalty system triggers a broad police search. Blood-splatter effects occur frequently, and the game contains rare depictions of dismemberment.

 

"In one sequence, players are directed to use various instruments and means to extract information from a character; the sequence is intense and prolonged, and it involves some player interaction (i.e., responding to on-screen prompts)."

 

No nudity is depicted on screen while indulging in the services of a prostitute, although it will be present during a scene at a lap dance club. Male genitalia will be exposed "in a non-sexual context" during a mission involving cult members.

 

"Within the game, TV programs and radio ads contain instances of mature humor," the listing continues. "Myriad sex jokes; depictions of raw sewage and feces on a worker's body; a brief instance of necrophilia (no nudity is depicted).

 

"Some sequences within the larger game allow players to use narcotics (e.g., smoking from a bong, lighting a marijuana joint); cocaine use is also depicted. Players' character can, at various times, consume alcohol and drive while under the influence. The words f**k, c*nt, and n**ger can be heard in the dialogue."
