Lincoln Crown Court heard Whiteside, from Louth, Lincs, had known the girl through EDL connections and the pair had formed a relationship.

He had met her a number of times after school, chatting to the girl for up to an hour at a time.

His behaviour had alarmed neighbours so much they took photos of the pair and alerted police.

But the girl had later called Whiteside when her family became concerned about the relationship, telling him he was “in danger and at risk of violence”.

She ran away from home and Whiteside took her from his home in Louth to his mother's house in Derbyshire.

When police were called by his mother, Whiteside "lied his head off" to officers under questioning before being charged with abducting the girl.

The court also heard although there was no evidence of a sexual nature, photographs of the girl “in various states of undress and in the bath” were discovered on Whiteside’s phone.

Whiteside, formerly of the Louth area but now of Creswell, admitted a charge of child abduction by keeping the child away from her mother in October 2016.

He was given a suspended jail sentence and a 10-year sexual harm prevention order.

There are tribes in africa where child marriage is the norm. Where due to poverty pedo men in those communities seize the opportunity to marry young brides.

Child abuse happens everywhere. The form it takes just depends on the socio economic and cultural influences of the community.

Yeah i agree with this. I do think its less common with black people than it is whites and asians though but it does happen in every race.

Most technically arent "child" marriages its just the age of consent in some of these countries is lower than in somewhere like uk 16 and america 16,17,18.

In the world of child abuse we are not comparing. The 14 yr old girl in a tribe in africa who is forced to marry a 50 yr old man is just as much as vulnerable as any other victim of abuse. And her trauma is not lessened by the trauma experience by other children. Child marriage is legal in many american states an guess what happens there? Grown ass men marryin children because those societies have neglected their children an accept this behaviour as the norm. (Perhaps the generations of this make them unable to see the harm caused)
