If Aggers so good how did Liverpool lose 14 games last year?

His reputation as a ball playing centre back precedes him, the guy is susceptible to a good roasting from time to time.

LOOOOOOL smfh, comment is so dumb i don't even need to respond.

I'm sorry, you can't be finished 8th and talking bout top 5 CB in world football.

But Pool only conceded 40 goals in the prem. Everton matched that and the only clubs that did better was the 2 Manchester clubs. They finished 8th because guys like Suarez and Carroll couldn't finish their dinner let alone their chances in front of goal.

Dunno if this has been posted yet bu Porto accept €50m bid for Hulk from Zenit?

Chelsea are set to be entering a two horse race to secure the signing of Porto's Brazilian ace Givanildo Hulk.

Russian press website Lifesports, have reported that their very own club Zenit St Petersburg have had a €50 million bid accepted for Porto's winger. Zenit are a wealthy Russian club with rich owners, they have money to spend re-building a squad set to compete with Europe's finest.

Chelsea will however not be overly concerned by Zenit's alleged approach, with Hulk previously stating that he wants to move to either The English Premier League or The Spanish La Liga, so the London club very much still remain front runners for the 26-year-old attacker.

There have been numerous claims that Chelsea are looking to secure the services of Hulk during the final week of the transfer window and will be ready to compete if they need to make their move now.

After officially announcing the signing of Marseille's Spanish international right back Cesar Azpilicueta on Friday, they are also set to secure the services of Wigan attacker Victor Moses officially on Saturday. With that in mind, there are doubts that Chelsea will even be moving for Hulk anymore.

With that said, there are corresponding reports suggesting that now Chelsea have all but officially signed Moses, they stand in a much better position in negotiations with Porto for Hulk, with the need of signing another attacker wearing down. On the other hand, if Zenit have made a bid, then the ball is very much back in Porto's court.

It's all set to be a very exciting count down to the 31st of August, when the window shuts until Janurary.

Montpellier owner Louis "Loulou" Nicollin on rival clubs eyeing Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa: "They need to stop pissing me off. If Mapou doesn't like to stay, he'll go in the reserves. At some point club owners have to say 'stop' otherwise we'll be eaten alive. When we have crap players and nobody wants them, we have no choice but to keep them. So we'll be totally strict: he stays. It'll prove the size of my balls."

lol @ Agger being top 5 in the world. This is coming from a liverpool fan and he's a sick player but he wasn't even our best CB last season ffs. still think he's VERY underrated defensively and he's not too far behind the top 5 but still
