I think it is disappointing how people believe one CL trophy can wipe away 4 top flight titles vs 13 in the space of one night

That's like saying if city win the PL, FA cup and CL for the next 3 seasons they're all of a sudden eclipsing the whole history of Utd in the space of 3 years

No, they're still yet to equal the domestic success which is what determines who the big clubs are in a country

Chelsea are the first London Champions of Europe and can be considered the biggest London club at present in terms of immediate threat and short term honours that as much is fair, but to be the top dog in London in terms of history you have to better those 13 titles and 10 FA Cups.

been championing him on here for nearly 10 years through all the cashley stuff and the vibrating phone ting

was easily most hated guy on here

just rubbed it in all your faces

/

was cheering chelsea last night even though i hate JT but bosingwa done him good....proper nice..... look at the pic on SSN of chelsea lifting the cup even lampard has been shifted out bosingwa in the middle

what a guy

If Di Mateo is smart he will leave and go out on a high and then can walk into nearly any job in europe next season

also am i hearing Redknap is 2nd fav for the chelsea job ?

lol if i was a spurs fan now arry wouldnt be alive

AND i know arsenal hate spurs blah blah blah but how can you man be cheer leading chelsea last night WTF they are now the undisputed biggest club in the south.....you cant sing "sh*t club no history" anymore...what they have achieved in the last 15 years eclipses all the other london sides history

No it doesnt

This is a decent argument to be had tbh,

Would Chelsea swap the Roman era for the history of Arsenal?

I'm not sure tbh,

They've had a period of city wide dominance domestically and gave now shown it in Europe, the era will be remembered by more than just Chelsea fans,

Them challeging for dominance nationally will take more due to the amount won by United and Liverpool,

But I don't know of an era when Arsenal were feared on tge continent, (ironically Chelsea probably aren't feared right now either)

in europe and the world for nearly 10 years now the 2 biggest clubs in england have been recognised as united/chelsea

obviously here its different arsenal seen as 3rd biggest after united and pool the biggest with chelsea about 5th/6th

lift silverware I'm looking at the dons in my team thinking "Are you man seeing this? Are you guys even SERIOUS about football".

Alex Ox-Chamberlain@Alex_OxChambo

What I've witnessed tonight has inspired me to try and help both club and country achieve great things

Alex Ox-Chamberlain@Alex_OxChambo

I'm honoured to be at a massive club like Arsenal and to have been selected for my country and have the opportunity to win things with both

Jack Wilshere@JackWilshere

Arsenal fans how good would it be of we won something next year? Let's do it #together #gooners

Bacary Sagna@Sagnaofficial

Looking at them just wanna make me celebrate something with my team as well..

TBH I'm trying to not engage in this CL argument tbh, its foolish.

Football is all about cycles, Arsenal have never dominated an era, like a Man Utd or Liverpool.

Even this ten years of Chelsea history, isn't domination.

They are the first London team to win the European Cup/Champions League, so what... TBH I'm more crushed by the fact that the Arsenal team that probably could/should have won it was beat by a Wayne Bridge Chelsea goal.

The vs. Barcelona final in Paris was that team's final shot, and we lost and since then I haven't remotely thought we could win it.

Basically Arsenal fans should be as equally bitter about Chelsea's win as West Ham, QPR, Fulham fans. I would say Tottenham too, but clearly this one effects them slightly a bit more, lmao.

Guillem Balague@GuillemBalague

In the next few minutes I will tweet extracts of an exclusive interview with Fernando Torres

Torres talks about openly about his feelings, how low he was this season (“never felt like this before”)

Torres also mentions that he wants a talk with the board about his future

In few minutes will send some extracts. The rest will be in http://www.guillembalague.com tonight and in Spanish in @diarioas in the morning

about pens last night, version I heard: Torres volunteered to take one, di Matteo decided not to use him:Dont know about the Twitter version

Torres: It’s contradictory because I feel like I’m at a peak moment in my career, with more desire and hunger than I’ve felt in a long time

Torres: "but I’ve had to spend the final on the bench. It was a huge disappointment when I saw the line-up, perhaps the biggest in my life"

Torres: This season I have felt things that I never had before. I’ve felt like they treated me in a way that I didn’t expect...

Torres: ...not in the way that was spoken of when they signed me. We’ve had a lot of talks and we’ll talk about my future

Torres: ...because the role I’ve had this season is not for me, nor is it the one I expected to play when I came here. I’m not comfortable

Torres: I want them to tell me what is going to happen in the future. Football has been fair on us, on me.

Torres: Now I do feel like football is worth it but I’ve been through a difficult time. The worst in my career. Dont want that again

Torres: there’s been many times when I’ve felt lost, I wasn’t sure what to do. I felt like I didn’t know where I belonged.

Torres: I’m eternally grateful to my family who have been by my side and also for the support of the owners who have stuck by me.

Torres: And especially to the fans, if it hadn’t been for them this season I would have given up

Torres: I need the club to tell me what is going to happen and what sort of role I will have within the team, what my duties are...

Torres: ...what the club expects of me. And then judge whether it is worth it.
