but what really engages me is the banter/entertainment/challenges they do in the cars

why is it even a debate, the shows popularity isn't because of it solely being a car show.

 

it's like how ksi isn't popular just because he plays fifa. its the entertainment as a whole. my girl has no interest in cars but she's seen every episode 10 times.
