Manchester United will make several big-money signings this summer in their attempt to return to the Champions League, the club's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has promise

This guy is a fool, why can't he talk like Wenger to keep the prices down.

Talks way too much for a guy who signed an overpriced Fellaini and unwanted and overpriced Mata so far

The game is now to appease edgy fans and sponsers who were told to invest in this continuously successful club who might now feel the invested in powerless shares for a club on a downward spiral.

"Outperforming ever other football club" in terms of the mobile phone app tho

My boy interviewed Edgar David's yesterday and was asking him about LVG

He was getting us SUPERRRR gassed

......

He was just so confident about the way he'd transform our team and get is back up there.

Gassed me up about the emphasis he puts on youth as well.

Just in general he was very positive and optimistic.

/

On a side note he said the hardest opponent he ever faced was ledley king

"It was a strange situation. When I signed for United I never dreamt I would play for the first team," he said.

"I figured I'd be there a couple of years and end up somewhere else a bit lower down.

"It happened so quickly. I'm not sure I was 100% comfortable with it. It started to get less fun the higher you went up.

"When you're playing in the youth team with your mates you'd love going in all the time. But when things weren't going great you felt like the whole world was on your shoulders."

"From the moment I went there I don't think I truly believed I would be a regular Manchester United player," Chadwick said.

"I just wanted to play football. I didn't want the fame and stuff that came with it. And at the biggest club in the world you're never going to get away with that.

"But I don't think I was really cut out for it. I wouldn't have enjoyed staying there. You've got to be something special to play at the club for a long period of time."

just shows it takes a special mentality to play for a big club

From the editor of UWS:

that line about united postponing the van gaal announcement until next week to respect preparations for holland’s friendly against ecuador in amsterdam on sat.

oh, really?

it was postponed because the deal hasn't been completed and the issue over the assistant manager/coaches had not been resolved.

giggs likes van gaal by the way.

stays on here

united are not waiting for Ancelotti

"I have no doubts about Marouane. I don't understand why Manchester United bought him to play him in a system of two No 6s. Marouane is a box-to-box player. The World Cup is a good chance for him to take revenge." Marc Wilmots, Belgium coach
