It's obvious Ronaldo is still coming home.
Manchester United have been dealt another blow in the summer transfer window after Cristiano Ronaldo was reported to have met with Monaco owner Dmitry Rybolovlev over a prospective move.
The Premier League champions were believed to be preparing a move for their former player earlier this summer, although talk has quietened in recent weeks after Real Madrid president Florentino Perez insisted Ronaldo is going nowhere.
But as Bayern Munich prepare to beat Manchester United to the signing of Barcelona’s Thiago Alcantara, it appears Ronaldo’s future at Madrid isn’t quite so certain – but Old Trafford won’t be his next destination.
According to reports in France, the Portuguese superstar has met with Monaco’s billionaire owner Rybolovlev, to discuss a possible move to the big-spending Ligue 1 side.
Le10Sport reported Rybolovlev has urged Ronaldo to see out his current contract in the Spanish capital, before making a move to France, by which time Monaco may have sealed Champions League football.

Beckham gets a boot to his face, goes to Madrid
Barca miss out on their transfer target Beckham and settle for their next option, our transfer target Ronaldinho
Barca having signed Ronaldinho(and I think someone else) can't afford to sign a young Portuguese winger that was offered to them
That young Portuguese winger's name was Cristiano Ronaldo and you know how his cool story ends
Life works in mysterious ways

When Moyes was asked about Thiago
Asked about the player, Moyes commented: "I never said he was a target.
"We're on with targets that we are chasing at this moment in time. There are people we are actively chasing and, at this moment in time, we're happy with how things are going."
