Kompressor
Seeing as the basic and straight forward rape and pillaging of the club is a still a little too complex for some people to understand I'll break it down with an analogy that even a 10 year old could understand. Couldn't give a fuck how long this ends up being i just hope it better explains the situation and explains why I will always have an issue with the Glazer family. Now imagine you are a successful man in your mid 40's you live in a big house are very high achieving in your job and you have 4 kids who are very driven and intelligent. Your life is fantastic. You live in a street with other well to do families and mingle freely with them on a equal footing. You shop where they shop and enjoy going on holidays to the same exotic destinations as they do,Now one day the school bully (let's say) from your primary school bumps into you in the city centre while you are using the cash point, he sees what your balance is and says I'm having that. He wrestles the bank card off you and breaks down to you his plan, his plan is for you to give over all your bank cards to him, up your working hours which is already more than everyone else on your street, he says you don't need to shop at the high end furniture shop or holiday in the best destinations, (Benidorm or Blackpool is fine for a week) he says you should stop shopping at Marks and spencer Aldi and Lidl offer just as much quality. Your kids who are building for their own futures and who already contribute considerably in "rent to you" now have to pay more. Ohh and one last thing we are going to remortgage your house you were so proud to pay off and we are going to buy a house with the money. Also we'll dip into your bank account whenever we want.If you want to spend anything you have to him give us a call and we'll decide how much we should free up for you. (As opposed to you making and spending your own). Now when you go home your kids are told and one if them is disgusted and moves out, says he'll never be back, one of them just simply can't afford the new rent so moves out in tears to go live in a hostel. The other two shrug their shoulders and say, "this has always been my home I couldn't bring myself to live anywhere else and would miss not being here.... The drop out of UNI and start working a menial job to make rent. The bully say ok, we'll advertise on Gumtree for two new people to move in and make the rent that the two departing children couldn't, you argue that these new people are gonna be strangers and that they won't care for the house or you he laughs at you and says but they'll be richer than your kids and so they are more welcome.End if the first month comes now and it's time to do some shopping you call up the bully, say you need £200 for the monthly shop he says, this month were gonna try £145 he walks you to the cashpoint where he then takes out your card and gives you the money, you take it and walk off, he grabs you and says "aren't you forgetting something" your baffled, he wants a thank you. This goes on for 7 years, money pinching all over the place, your life hasn't changed in any way except forbthebfact that you are now paying off the school bullies house, you're working harder at work with longer hours m, you don't see one one your kids anymore, the other one comes round once every few months when he can afford it, when he's there you see that he appreciates it more than any of the others who are there. Now your wife is a whizz round the house and has been able to make amazing meals with the cheaper produce and has kept the house looking trim despite a lack of investment but its starting to wear thin and she's loosing her grip in being able to make the house look like it did. Then tradegy she leaves you, taking the top housekeeper with her crisis. As now the couch that has one arm hanging off if clearly in need for repair the dining table rocks and the stairs has holes in it. All things that these two covered up in clever ways. When the two strangers in your house click all this they start making noise about how you new wife is f*cking useless and out of her depth, your there thinking "if I could spend the money I earn in keeping this house as it should be we could still have one if the best houses on the street as I earn the 3rd best salary on the street. (Ironically I was 1st when the bully came around to boost my finances)The two strangers get on the phone to the bully and and start mouthing off about how much rent they pay and about how they go elsewhere unless repairs are made. The bully says ok ok I'll free up some funds. He takes you to the cashpoint asks what's the most you've spent on a couch, you say £400, he says here have £450 here'shalf that money you got for selling your Ferrari couple years back. (You now drive a Skoda. (Apologies to Antonio Valencia) go buy a new couch make it flashy to keep those two sweet. You argue that the stairs are a more pressing issue as new holes are appearing every day, he says we'll handle that next summer. You turn to walk away, he grabs you and says. After 7 f*cking years you still don't get it, he says where's my thank you, you get a little pissed and say "I earn all that money all you do is pick from it, that's my money" he shakes his head laughs and says "no it's my money, you're welcome, by the way you are now working an extra 7 hours a week" 4
Kompressor
It is peanuts tbf It's far from peanuts Money is there like I've always said, main problem has been players choosing elsewhere Moyes has been spotted all over Europe so it doesn't like that'll be the last of it this window Money has been there. £25 milllion a season till the bond in 2010 and then again the float in New York last season. It's not peanuts in comparison with certain teams, in comparison to the teams We're meant to be challenging its fuck all. I've been open in saying the money is there since not long before Kagawa and RVP came in because it actually was. As has already been said you compare United's profits and revenue, look at the squad and then look at money spent you'd be left scratching your head,
Kompressor
Due to that last post being longer than certain attention spans on here can handle (unless its an article by a reporter) I'll break down the opposition to the Glazers in lil soundbites. They have brought nothing to the table other than debt. But Manchester United are making more and more each year, Yes and were doing so since the mid 90's ] They don't interfere with the manager or on pitch issues. To quote Chris Rock I'm not gonna give a guy credit for doing what they're supposed to do. plus by their ow admission they don't know all that much about the football side of things anyway. To end, Just imagine if that £600 million wasn't spent on debt, not saying it'd all of gone on players, but just think of the possibilities. instead its being spent on the dubious pleasure of having them as owners. The King
MANCHESTER UNITED are targeting as many as five more signings of Juan Mata’s calibre as David Moyes begins the most radical overhaul of United’s first team in almost 20 years. The capture of Mata for £37.1m from Chelsea is regarded by Moyes and the hierarchy at his club as being just the start of a recruitment drive in which United hope to close the gap on Chelsea, Manchester City and their biggest continental rivals by boosting investment in the squad. The Glazer family, who own United, accept that despite landing Mata the club are “at the bottom of the mountain” in the improvements necessary and have approved a programme of buying. United have not submitted a bid for Luke Shaw, contrary to reports, but intend challenging Chelsea for the 18-year-old, for whom Southampton want £30m. Keeping Wayne Rooney is a cornerstone of the reconstruction scheme and the player is moving towards accepting a new contract worth in excess of £50m, though an exact wage package has yet to be agreed. Rooney wants to be certain more big signings will follow and United believe their plans will reassure him. Mata was due to complete his transfer last night after personal terms were finalised and he passed a five-hour medical. United’s buying programme is likely to accelerate in the summer. They are looking for top full-backs on either flank, at least two midfielders and another leading forward. Moves are being considered for Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos and Mario Mandzukic, Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal of Juventus, Inter Milan’s Fredy Guarin, FC Porto’s Fernando Reges and Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus. The situation at Liverpool of Glen Johnson, who has been told he can extend his Anfield contract only if he accepts a drop in wages, also interests United. The revamp will be on a scale not seen since David Beckham’s “golden generation” refreshed the club in the mid-1990s. A series of departures is likely, with Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra set to leave when their contracts expire at the end of the season and Nemanja Vidic likely to move when his deal ends at the same time. Javier Hernandez, Nani, Rafael and Alex Buttner could also exit. Cardiff are expected to sign Wilfried Zaha, on loan, and Fabio, permanently, in the current transfer window. Source: The Times. J. Kompressor
But the Glazer period is arguable the most successful in the clubs history... If you had told a United fan in 2003 that we'd break our record transfer fee in January 2014 they'd of said, "yes naturally" if you told them it would be £37 million they'd of said you were mad and that it's be more than that based on current spending and inflation within the game. This is without taking into account the mad mad spending of City PSG etc. United have been successful despite the money being taken out not because of it, is it really that hard to understand, I'm left wondering about what else could've been won had United continued spending like we were in the late 90's and early 2000's up until Fergie had an Arguement over horse sperm. Your logic is the Glazer's have stemmed the spending on players and taken £600 million pounds out if the club, that's what's made the last 8 years successful, if you want to have a Arguement about the ownership come to the table with sensible and rational thought and ideas.
