Atletico Madrid claim that they have not been contacted by Manchester United regarding goalkeeper David de Gea.

Reports had suggested that a £15million deal had been agreed for the 20-year-old ahead of the January transfer window, with Sir Alex Ferguson's United looking for a successor to 40-year-old Edwin van der Sar.

But Atletico president Enrique Cerezo has dismissed the speculation of a move for De Gea.

"Nobody has spoken with us. Nor do I have any idea (about this matter)," Cerezo was quoted as telling Spanish newspaper AS.

"We hope that he will be a Rojiblanco (Atletico) player for a long time."

Spain Under 21 international De Gea, who is first choice at Atletico, is under contract until 2013.

It would also appear that United have turned their attentions elsewhere, as Aalesund chairman Bjarne Haagensen has said that he is in Manchester to hold talks with United over a move for Danish international goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard.

You guys have been strongly linked with Danny of Zenit(I hope nothing comes of it due to the fact the transfer is wrong for both parties)

You guys should focus on Hulk seriously forget anyone else go and get Hulk.

how much is Hulk going/coming for?

and do we really need him,

If Fergie supposedly rates Welbeck highly

and obviously has a hard-on for Macheda,

just bought Hernandez,

Un willing to cut his supposed losses on Berba

and just forked out to give Rooney a new contract

thats 5 Frontmen as of the start of next season,

"All were asking for is a creative centre midfielder" Please!!

Danny fits the role as a creative centre midfielder but like most creative midfielders he would struggle in a two man midfielder but will excel in a three.

As for Hulk the guy is a beast he can play on both flanks he isn't yet a central striker. For me personally he is better than any wingers you have at your current club .

I would hate for him to go City and get destroyed by Mancini but seriously Hulk and Manchester United the perfect marriage.

Manchester United have completed the signing of Danish goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard from Aalesunds.

United have been chasing a new keeper for the past few months and were strongly linked with the likes of David De Gea and Gianluigi Buffon, but Sir Alex Ferguson has opted for Lindegaard.

The 26-year-old passed a medical in Manchester earlier this week and has now signed a deal until 2014 after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee.

Lindegaard will train with United from now, but he will not be eligible to play until the transfer window re-opens on 1st January.

Ferguson was delighted to get his man, commenting: "Anders is one of the brightest young keepers in the game.

"The challenge at Manchester United is always to look to the future and in Anders, we have signed a goalkeeper of great presence and even more promise.

"Having the time to train with him before he is registered will be an important period for him - almost like a pre-season to get him integrated with the other players."

Lindegaard added: "Joining Manchester United is a dream come true for me.

"The club is such an institution in Denmark, it's an honour to come here.

"I'm looking forward to playing and training alongside some of the great players in football today.

"I can't wait to be part of this team and to make my contribution to keeping the team at the top of the game."

It's been a while since we've had everyone on song in the middle of the park, so I'd rather that then get ahead of myself about the perfect pairing tbh

We're still lacking in one or two players in that position. Hoping that can be addressed sooner rather than later

4.5 million, shambles.

Chasing Buffon and De Gea, then you pay "over the odds" for this guy, seems strange.

Buffon is chronically injured. De Gea is Spanish.

Lol at buying Hulk, if his name wasn't Hulk he wouldn't be worth remembering :/
