Lol @ the McEachran hate

The guy is quality, he like Morrison recently turned 18, he was playing the no.10 role for Chelsea when they won the Youth Cup last season, their main playmaker.. smh about "better u18 players" ..

Josh has been rated for a while, he made his breakthrough this season, grabbed his chance with both hands and has neva looked outta place not like ur hero Pacheco for example..

Looked better than some of the senior players in all honesty. Bossed the away game against Marseille, which he started btw, at 17 years of age.

This Morrison fella can't even get a start in the Carling Cup. Says it all I'm afraid.

Not to sh*t on Man Utd, cos this is there thread, but I aint sure on Morrison, talent unquestionable, but I just think its gonna be hard for a manager to trust him, and because of that, the development he should make between 18-21, he wont.

He could have a mad season when he 21/22 tho, like Andy Carroll has had.

Morrison turned 18 a month ago..

He made a late cameo against Wolves in the Cup, his development is already miles ahead, I think he will go on the pre season tour and kick on next season now the case is behind him

Yeah your point is???

Fam I dont think he even touched the ball... f*ck outta here, about cameo, nigga was a extra, had as much playing time as a streaker.

We'll see... I dont think so tho.

What is a d*ckhead, but dont let his stupidity fool you into thinking McEachran is hype, boy is talented, very... Sadly for him & England, we all know Chelsea will ruin him.

+1

To think England could have Wilshere, McEachran & Morrison in their midfield is frightening.

Not really when you take a look at Spain, Brazils, Argentinas, France, Hollands younsgters.

Also it wasn't long ago when England were fretting about having a midfield that included Gerrard, Cole, Bowyer and Michael Bridges, unfortunately players careers don't always plan out the way they should.

It's a shame Ravel Morrison will miss the games against Chelsea. Wanted to see what all the fuss is about. I doubt he's half the player Josh McEachran is anyway.

PMSL

As much as i would love to admit McEachran being a better player than Ravel it is bullshit.

McEachran is just a lucky kid to play a few games this season and got alot of hype. Didnt even know who the f*ck he was until a few months ago...

Theres so many better english under 18 players than McEachran...

smh yung r

New agony for injury-jinxed Hargreaves as midfielder damages shoulder in training

Owen Hargreaves' hopes of playing for Manchester United again have been dealt a crushing blow after he damaged his shoulder in training.

The injury plagued England midfielder had put himself in contention for a return, only for his shoulder to pop out as he challenged for a header.

The 30-year-old had X-rays and initial fears are that he has ligament damage and could be out for at least four weeks.

He has had just six minutes of first-team football since September 2008 because of two lots of knee surgery and a torn hamstring suffered in his latest Barclays Premier League comeback against Wolves on November 6.

Hargreaves has played 39 games since his £17million arrival from Bayern Munich in May 2007.

Dont even know what to say anymore

Sir Alex Ferguson says young players like Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck could feature heavily in United's future after excelling during loan spells away from the club this season.

The United manager revealed to ManUtd.com he will give midfielder Cleverley and striker Welbeck the opportunity to press home their claims at Old Trafford in the 2011/2012 campaign after shining for Wigan and Sunderland respectively. The pair were reunited this week, when they played an active part in England Under-21s' 4-0 demolition of Denmark.

"They will come back into the first-team squad and they will get plenty of games next season," Sir Alex told us, when we asked about his plans for Cleverley, Welbeck and Federico Macheda, who is currently with Sampdoria in his native Italy.

"They are part of the band of young players coming through at this club. They will all come back in," the boss continued. "At that point, we will then review our squad because that's the important thing. But we will always put players out on loan.

"Cleverley has done very well, particularly in his spell at Watford and then at Wigan. He has improved in each case and he is going to be a top player.

"Welbeck has been fantastic too, it's just unfortunate that he picked up a bad injury. But they will all be ready for next year."

The manager also revealed that Senegalese striker Mame Biram Diouf will return from his stint with Blackburn as the loan deals have been beneficial for his fringe performers.

"Mame Diouf has done well at Blackburn too and he'll come back in," added Sir Alex. "They've all done well.

"It proves we were right in putting them there in the first place. For them, it’s that experience of being exposed to regular football that really brings them on so that they are ready to play for Manchester United."

lucky he got a chance due to so many youngsters being away on internationals... but my god, my god he is a faaaaaaaaaaaaaking talent.. hopefully when the highlights drop it will show alot of him

lol also today in da same game, i read that ravel morrison broke the record for most nutmegs in a match by one player, 8 in 77 mins lol

Dæhli impressed me alot.

read an article about him on goal that was a tad giddy, but theres obviously quality there.

he's supposedly guaranteed a pro contract when he turns 17

Diouf, Obers and Bebe should be nowhere near that team imo

but with the likes of Carrick, O'Shea and Gibbo still playing for us its probs not a bad idea in SAF's eyes

Value ridden summer for us then :(

Wesley Sneijder has offered the first indication he is ready to listen to Manchester United's overtures.

And that could pave the way for a record-breaking bid by the Premier League club, as manager Sir Alex Ferguson looks for the final piece in his latest Old Trafford jigsaw.

The world renowned Dutch international midfielder snubbed a move by United last season, insisting he preferred instead to stay with reigning European champions Inter Milan.

That was a real blow to Ferguson, who had targeted the 26-year-old World Cup star as the last - and most valuable - big-money player he will bring to Old Trafford.

The United boss was so determined to land Sneijder that when he failed he had no viable alternative, so decided not to make any significant summer signing.

The Mirror understands the classy Dutch midfielder has now decided the time is right to move on from the rigid constraints of Italian football and try the Premier League, which he has always admitted was a lure for him.

Sneijder signed a new deal with Inter only last summer when he turned down United's offer, but sources close to the player have made clear his desire to reconsider his situation at the end of the season.

United have been made aware of the player's intentions, and have already been encouraged to make an offer serious enough to persuade cash-strapped Inter to sell.

Inter's president, Massimo Moratti, said only last week that he is determined not to sell to the English club, but if the Holland international remains determined to go and the fee is high enough, he will have few options but to relent.

Ferguson, for his part, has identified midfield as the key area to strengthening his current squad, which has a remarkably young average age, and real, exciting potential.

He has more than a dozen players under the age of 25 with significant first-team experience but wants more bite in midfield and more creativity going forward.

Sneijder is now widely regarded as the best in the world at the latter, and would be an exciting addition to a forward line that already boasts Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez, Dimitar Berbatov, Nani and Antonio Valencia.

Ferguson also wants a mobile, combative, more defensively-minded midfielder, and has made clear his admiration for Everton's exciting youngster Jack Rodwell.

But Sneijder is undoubtedly his number one target, and the latest news from Italy will only encourage the United boss to step up his efforts to land the midfielder as a long-term replacement for Paul Scholes.

The Glazer family, United's American owners, have already sanctioned a significant summer outlay. The Red Devils could be willing to smash their transfer record - the near-£31million fee that brought Berbatov to the club.

The key will be the Dutchman's desire to taste English football, and he has indicated that he is determined to now do that, after spending two years in the tactically constrained limitations of Serie A.

Ferguson also wants a keeper, and sources in Spain have this weekend suggested he has taken a step closer to agreeing a near £15m deal to land Atletico Madrid's highly-rated David de Gea

ALEX FERGUSON reckons he can land as many as THREE of his top transfer targets in the summer.

Big changes are expected at Manchester United, with a clutch of players retiring or seeing their contracts end.

And Fergie has insisted the cash will be there for him to bring in top-class replacements during the close season.

He said: "We have certain targets in mind and I think two or three will be fulfilled. There's no question of that.

"The Glazer family have always been supportive of our desires to improve the team."

Top of his list is likely to be a goalkeeper, with either Schalke's Manuel Neuer or Atletico Madrid's David de Gea in the frame to replace Edwin van der Sar. The Scot is also likely to boost his midfield. Wesley Sneijder, Jack Rodwell and Blackpool's Charlie Adam are all in the running.

Fergie could look for a new centre-back, too, with Bolton's Gary Cahill and Thiago Silva of AC Milan among the group of possibles.

A new forward seems less likely, as United's boss has declared himself happy with the striking options he has.

He added: "What we are good at is bringing young players to the club, like Chicharito.

"If you look at the last six years, we've brought through young players like Ronaldo and Nani.

"We're good at that and I don't think we should change what we're good at. When we identify the right young players, that's the way we'll go."
