Has anyone been to Canada? Toronto in particular cos I think I'm spending 10 or so days out there. 3 weeks in total.

 

I actually don't know anyone whos been. My cousin lives there, so I'm aware of the main places to go, but want to know whats actually really good out there?

 

I don't really know much about Canadians tbh - lifestyles, interests etc...

Toronto is live, it's like a cleaner version of nyc

 

Try and go for the Caribana weekend, the carnival is live and Drake does his ovo concert the day after..if you're into that sort of thing

 

Toronto is vibrant, the museums and galleries are worth going to. nightclubs are popping..the whole place is buzzing around Caribana

 

It's kinda expensive compared to the us

i know a guy who holidays solo.  doesnt meet people or make friends just does touristy stuff on his own

 

the other option is stay in a hostel, hang out at the bar, go on a pub crawl, chat to some other travellers / locals.  if you really wanna push the boat out go coach surfing

want to go on my own but my girl will prob end up tagging along, unless i find a good excuse

 

but its just a jam ting, i dont do clubs/bars/pubs/pools/beach etc or itll either be a countryside ting or some quirky place i can appreciate, but i wanna see some animals

 

going on your own to jam with random people is just long for an introvert

Going to try squeeze in four vacations in before July

I spent 2 days in Barca on my own before my mate flew in. Was unexpectedly nice.

 

Rented a bike and rode about most of the city.  Spent the evenings with the people I met in the hostel.

 

I spent some time in Korea on my own as another friend was long in coming. Stayed in 3 hostels, with all live people. Some were teachers, some learning Korean or business etc. Think only 2 separate days I was on my own which I spent trekking up to a few Buddhist temples. I suppose its easier in Asia to meet/find and mix with people though in comparison to Europe.

 

Not gonna lie, I did meet several awkward single travelers. I couldn't go solo and not meet people.
