Liverpool Football Club has today released the following statement. "Despite repeated media speculation on the futures of Xabi Alonso and Javier Mascherano, Liverpool has received no official approach or offer from any club regarding the players. "Neither is for sale and furthermore Liverpool has no interest in the long list of Spanish based players being linked with a move to Anfield as part of any deal."
Glad we have put this statement out, It still wont stop clubs being linked with them. I pray either of them dont leave, they are the spine of our team and i dont think either of them is replaceable.

I never wanted Upson (Small Heath connections and the stick we've always given him would prove embarrasing all round) but he is quality, and we're linked today for £4million.Bentley has been linked for £7.5million too, and moneys tight here. So Owen, Bentley, Upson, Sturridge (with his compensation) could be bought in for what we got for Barry. Which would be brilliant business.

ARSENAL BOSS WENGER IS VERY KEEN ON EVERTON’S TIM CAHILLhttp://www.footylatest.com/arsenal-boss ... im-cahill/Everton boss David Moyes has very adamant that he will be doing his utmost to keep all his top players at Goodison Park next season. But how aware is he that Arsene Wenger is extremely keen on his Australian midfielder Tim Cahill? Wenger left a quote with the Australian Sunday Telegraph yesterday in an interview which plainly expressed Wengers admiration for Cahill. Wenger said: “He is efficient, he is a team player, he works very hard and in any English league, which has a reputation for being strong in the air, he dominates everybody in the air. “When you look at his size, it just shows you his intelligence. He must be a very intelligent player, because his anticipation level is very strong, and he is a fighter as well.” But Cahill, although aware that other top teams may be interested in him, has made it clear that he feels very loyal to Everton, and is unlikely to look elsewhere. “Every player would love to play in the Champions League and be winning medals and all that but you have to assess what’s right for your family, what’s right for you and what the club is trying to build,” Cahill told The Age. “I love silverware, I love all the award nominations and all that but I also think I’ve achieved a lot and have been part of a league team that’s been contesting more and more, not a team that’s slumping or that’s stayed stagnant. “I’ve been here for five years and they’ve always rewarded and looked after me.”Bullshit me thinks. Would be a GREAT signing though.

Cahill is a TOP player, definately should be in one of the top teams...he's exactly what a club like arsenal needs and would walk straight into the team.
:D Where the f*ck would he play?Makes no senseMight as well play Senderos up there, he's good in the air and about as good on the floor.
