Success often follows money so I don't understand why people are so surprised, it wasn't so long ago we were talking about Chelsea in the same way and look at them now.
Chelsea were playing CL football before Roman arrived.
They were but they would not be one of the most attractive and successful clubs in Europe over the past 5 years had it not been for Abramovich's money. What Chelsea were under Bates and what they are now is completely different, they went from a team who were consistently getting a UEFA place to a team consistently challenging for the Premiership & CL.

but atleast chelsea bought defenders and had a good manager. Fair enough they had cash play a big part in them getting success but they did spend more wisely than man city are man city have bought 12948731298321 strikers and are going for defenders they arent gonna get. i hope they fail miserably again in their attempt to crack the top 4. how can they have 8/9 strikers, and still be looking to buy more. /just smh @ the players chasing the cash, its nuts.

Guest faze .
Very happy with Downing joining. Some great options outwide now. Check my wants earlier in this thread for proof.Would have prefered Bentley but Arry was being a d*ck about swaps etc.Delph, Distin, Tuncay and another cm to go now.

Hughes is a mid-table manager & Man City are a mid-table club, all these strikers won't make a huge difference. They will still have a mid-table mentality. They have to better Villa, Everton & Fulham before they can think about CL.I think we need to replace Addy with a striker of similar qualities, Pace, Power etc cause the current four we have are mostly about ability & technique, Bayor was our battering ram.

Thats the worry, hopefully with Zhirkov in and Joe Cole fit they won't need him though...I'd be a little suprised if he went this Summer signed new deal only 4 months ago, but wouldn't rule out him going.Reckon he's defo off next year though if we do manage to keep him unless we have a miracle season, after the world cup will be looking for a fresh start and play in the champions league to get him into the starting England side.Just don't wanna think about it and enjoy him while we've got him no homo

Pompey accept bid from Sunderland for Crouch.Distin reportedly on his way to Villa Park.Their whole squad without those two:

JamesCranie - Kaboul - Hreidarsson - BelhadjDiop - Mokoena - Basinas - KranjcarNugent - Utaka

Ashdown, Begovic, Mullins, Hughes, Wilson

No manager and their club in limbo over a take over.If the take over doesn't go through soon they are f*cked.

exactly i dunno why people are going on as if City aren't as big of a draw than Chelseadespite the lack of CL football right nowthey're offering and spending more money than Roman did the future is actually looking quite bright for City
