What Makes Somebody A True Football Fan?
Tbh theres only one ting that makes you a fan like no other and thats being a moderator in the sports room on vip2, if your not one of these you are a lower class citizen and fan, you do not hold wieght with man and have a knowledge of a fish. Being a sports room mod makes you the most passionate fan and legendary supporter in ur clubs history, it means you goto games when you actually dont, it means you can suck your heroes d*ck off and it means you can get top quallity inside information and liase with your clubs staff.
hahahahah

being a passionate and discerning viewer of the sport really imojust have a genuine interest and appreciation for the sport being able to watch football and obectively critique a player's skillset (i.e. touch control passing shooting, reading of the game)and a teams tactics, style of play effectiveness etcall the talk of attendance of matches is relevance but only to a certain extent what about ppl who grew up in household that had no interest in football ? not exactly gonna be a 8 - 16 yr old goin to matches on your own.

I'm sure at that age you can find a uncle or someone in your family... and if not then at them ages you got a bag of friends who's dad or family would happily play guardian for two hours with their child. Come on your trying to go to a football match not be the next Billy Elliot.

In no order:1. Knowledge of the club's history to an intermediate level2. Knowledge of the club's current players including reserves and at least some of the u18's (How can I hear someone say "Arsenal have been given a fake player in FM because I've never heard of this Bischoff")3. Knowledge of the club's fixtures and when they are going to played (How can someone in an Arsenal shirt say to me "I didn't know we were playing tonight" when we were playing in the CL a few months back)4. Attempting to watch every game in some way, even if they can't go to the match its self ("I was out shopping" as a reply when asked if they saw the match is NOT a valid statement)5. Going to at least 1 game a season, like JJ said, it's so easy to get a ticket for at least 1 game a season and Carling Cup tickets are real cheap6. Socialising in the club's local area on some match days before/after/during matches, for instance, in pubs7. Knowledge of each player's skillset and current progress (For instance, there's some people who think Song is sh*t even though he has improved a lot and has been one of our best players in each of our last 4/5 games)

^^^^^ wow superfan hit the nail on the head.

What about people who support one team would admire and follow there rivalsFor example if someone was to support Liverpool and say their second fav team was Man Utd could they still be classed as a true fan.HmmI dont think so?

There must be more to add to this but I agree with every part.
