Whats the deal with the new insurance laws that came in to affect recently, got a new car so haven't got insurance on my old car which I will move on next month. Is it cool to just leave it on the road, or any links for cheap temporary insurance?

Yh u can't have a car even just parked up without insurance...unless it's declared sorn u gotta get it insured

Should be ok for a couple months they will send u a letter when they clock just saying to sort it out before they take action

Declare it SORN if you don't need to drive it

once you are ready to insure it, just fill in the form, take it to the DVLA place (takes time if you post it) and you can drive

When you declare it sorn you can't have it parked up on road. It has to be in a garage or your private drive. If not, your getting fines or your cars getting towed for no road tax (IF the council see it).
