TS1 Helpdesk Analyst

worth doing CompTIA A+/network+? or did you go straight to CCNA?

i did computer science at uni didnt want to go into programming

sort of fell into this

doin the CCNA to get OUT of it ideally into juniour network admin some place and work my way up from there

but to answer your Q - Ive heard of A+ being good for networking basics

at the end of the day experience > certification

Data/Inventory Analyst aka excel and access don

how do i get into this? hav u got a degree? u need a lot of experience?

2 of my modules are based on this sh*t

I have experience I worked for virgin media as an analyst, worked my way up from the phones. Luckily I had an AVCE ICT cert from my college days so I had a little understanding of Access/Excel and manipulating data etc.

Worked under the analyst at virgin for two years, learnt what I needed to know and got off.

You can do it with a degree though aswell. No idea how you get into it though, one of them careers you fall into eventually.
