M.Dot
I still don't get why the Walkers were shown approaching the wall at the end of whatever season it was, if they weren't about to be involved again for the next few series. Gambino
I hear that...also where's Brans lil bro and the wildling woman? Can't remember exactly where but Bran told her to take him somewhere to keep him safe. Obviously not featured them this season though. Sole
Yeah let's use VIP2 as a benchmark for fantasy books/films crossing over into the mainstream... Instead of the facts about LOTR: Second bestselling novel of all time, likewise films with a $280m dollar budget, getting one of the finest producers in Peter Jackson to produce the films, not to mention the multiple games released, blah blah blah. But yeah, all of that was just for the geeks who are into fantasy. Come on g, I'm not gonna spell it out for you again. why your riding so hard for the hobbits fam I'm just saying Sharon and Tracey that watch game of thrones cos its the in show aren't gonna feel gandalf and the lads wind your neck in its not that deep ffs. Flex
To be fair, tolkein started the series for his children, who were around the age of 10. He had no intention of selling or publishing the Hobbit when he wrote it. Pretty amazing how well it done considering.
dub
Didn't his bro go towards Castle Black, while Bran had his vision that he has to go north?

Yeshua
Lord of the Rings appeals to everybody, people trying to act like is a niche thing, when Game Of Thrones is a baby compared to it.
dub
GOT is arguably more entertaining.
Rsonist
Found this map on another forum. Thought id share here. Best one ive seen so far. The scale can be put into perspective when it takes about 4-5 months to sail from Quarth to Asshai (Where Melisandre is from) on the far south east coast. And also just how far Khalessi has travelled.

Gambino
Zero debate on how huge LOTR is and it's following but comparing that and G O T is like Star Trek vs Star Wars to me. G O T Being Star Wars - Far Cooler
