quite the contrary tbh, he must be loving all this. He will be looking to rinse the government for support and funding now knowing they will be real desperate to revitalise the area ASAP. If spurs leave it will never happen.

Hopefully people have this much of a thirst for electrical goods when they try to bring ID cards in or go to war again.

12.17pm: My colleague Paul Lewis has got hold of one of the BBM messages that was circulating on Blackberry phones last night.He writes:It is hard to verify, but multiple sources have sent me this identical message - still, we need to be cautious. If authentic, it explains one of the the less reported (and understood) aspects of last night's disturbances: the appearance of a small numbers of looters in the early hours of the morning in Oxford Circus. I don't know where they came from, but central London is a long way to travel from most residential areas in the capital with no public transport. That puts to rest any doubt that the disturbances are highly organised:
Everyone from all sides of London meet up at the heart of London (central) OXFORD CIRCUS!!, Bare SHOPS are gonna get smashed up so come get some (free stuff!!!) f*ck the feds we will send them back with OUR riot! >:D Dead the ends and colour war for now so if you see a brother... This is pathetic from mindless f*ck*ng arseholes. It has gone far and beyond the death of some guy, now its just an excuse to go and riot.Never in my lifetime did I think I'd see my town put in such a bad light on major news stations.

Reflect badly on whom? Black people? Before these riots took place the general consensus was a negative one - ahh he got what he deserved, man shouldn't have shot at police etc. The picture was already painted of a black gangster trying a ting and getting laid out. If it emerges that he never shot at police and bullet fired was police issue you think peoples perception's of him or others will change? Not happening.The authorities will always come out better here as the country has a culture of grumbling and complaining but doing sh*t about it. As long as it remains that way the iPCC can investigate and determine that he was resisting arrest etc. so they shot him.
I think his point isIf it would have emerged (as I assume it would) then the focus would have been on the fact the Police not only shot a man without warning, but lied about it afterward.Now the focus will obviously be made about the riots, and 'well I mean who can blame them for shooting him, look at what they have to deal with'
yes something like this, Basically today is Monday, Today the front page of all the papers should be emblazed with Articles and headlines regarding the belief now that Mark Did NOT shot at the officer, instead our front pages are saying and showing what? i lknow what id rather see on the front page and what i'd rather be highlighted. the important issues arent being focussed like the should be, because idiots have highjacked the whole thing for their own gain,

its not a cover up, the rest of the country dont care about the fact that he didnt shoot back, they wanna hear about the riots, the papers are merely giving the masses what they want, which sells them papers and makes them money and therefore keeps them in businessMark's family as devasted they must be wouldve at least got some solace from a media wide highlighting of the fact that Their family member did NOT shoot at the police and thosse people saying ohh well he shot at them first so he deserves it, would also have to revise their oppinions, but the idiots have covered it up with their senseless actions, not the media, cant believe i'm defending the media here kmt
