Manchester United (A) on Nov. 10 - EPL

 

Crucial period for us we need players back 

 

i reckon we will beat dortmund and can rest some players at palace

That league cup could be tricky. Chelsea have the strength in depth

Liverpool are out so thats a nice few resting days for them. Depending on what team we field for the CC.

Confident on a result vs dortmund home.

Just have to stay focused and get some players back , Go all out in january window for that striker.

so we failed our first real test (spurs at home isn't really at test)

 

thought we looked leggy at the start, picked it up when santi came on but we dominated the game

 

ramsey, wilshere, ozil didn't influence it enough, although some of ozil's 1 touch play was outstanding

 

We missed walcott's pace

think with flamini and walcott (or any wide players) back we could get something in germany

Nah Gibbs does himself no favours, loves a bomb forward and knows more time he'll get back unlike Sagna now, but as Dortmund broke, Gibbs' face said it all, he knew he wasn't getting back and that sinking feeling came all over his boat.

it was only his fault once hed got sucked into aubyemang, that clip only shows him chasing back, need to watch a few secs before

Getting sucked in is his fault, as then an opening has happened down his side.

 

Similar to Mertesacker in a sense that Mertesacker was covering Sagna's position has been drawn into the centre to pick up a man in HIS position and then they came behind and scored & now everybody asking where's Sagna?

Gibbs couldn't have done much, the midfield on the left was overloaded  and needed shifting over and Dortmund were goalside 

 

Aubamayeng was in the centre, and needed to be shown the outside (as gibbs did) otherwise he could have given the ball to Mkhitaryan and then overloaded the backline himself

 

Because of Rosicky & Santi's tendency to come inside, Groesskreautz was free to overlap and bomb down the right all night

 

Grosskreatz was the main threat & outlet throughout the entire game, this was bound to happen at one point or another

ye i wasnt trying to blame gibbs cos the first fail is the lack of defensively minded midfielders on the pitch, leaving gibbs alone against aubymang and grosskreutz, but once he left the gap behind him (from an ok starting position on his behalf) it was curtains

 

just naivety all round

Emmanuel Frimpong has suggested that the reason he isn't in Arsenal's squad to play Chelsea in the Capital One Cup is because of his race.

When asked on Twitter why he hadn't been picked for Tuesday's match, Frimpong replied: 'Lol I wanna laugh.

'Sometimes I wish I was white and English #realtalk.'
