Afroman
Producers - Quincy Jones - Track record speaks for its self. Timbaland - Always kept re-inventing his sound bank. When you pay attention to his instrumentals there is alot going on in the background. The way they all sit together is Genius. Pharrell Williams/Neptunes - Catalog speaks for its self. Scott storch - A genius at mimicking other peoples sound. Ryan Leslie - He knows a good melody. J-dilla - Very slept on. In terms of breaking samples As far as Artist goes. Music Genius is very rare. Mj is the only guy I can think off to be honest.

Jam
Q-Tip All the Tribe stuff, what they sampled, how they started sampling, songs like Check The Rhime were WOW, most of Low End Theory changed the game, drums, mixing wise (Bob Power), lyricism, image, black righteousness. This is like the start of the left of centre hip hop shit, so so many things today can be attributed to what Tribe did. Midnight Marauders just hit it out the park His production input on The Infamous, One Love for Illmatic, swear he was on Girls Girls Girls He 'brought' Dilla through, was his protege, Dilla stands alone (he's genius too) but Tip was there. The backbone for the whole Soulquarian movement around 96-04, so much great music derived from here - The Roots, D'Angelo, Erykah, Bilal, Mos, Talib. I'd say Kanye is a child of this too His solo shit was ahead of his time IMO, the music of Kamaal The Abstract, and The Rennaisance is a personal classic of mine ... Life Is Better... He's a genius to me
