Apps like bubbleupnp are good for running movies/TV shows dl'd from other sources to your phone.

Along side showbox, these apps make chromecast worth it.

Got mine for £18 black Friday. .definitely value for money at that price.

Don't have a chromecast so I'm wondering what's the stop you from having a template html file with a video player on it that takes a local video file. You can then watch any film you download on the browser on your tv nah?

problem is those are all for android right? with iphone it doesnt offer much.  Youtube is great on chromecast but apart from that wasnt too impressed. Tried cast some streaming sports from chrome to chromecast and it wasnt happening at all, so laggy.

 

Is there any other way to cast streaming sports from a laptop or iphone?

u can get these apps on iPhone…their just not on the app store u need to google to download

Toaster cast works with mobdro. So you can stream tv channels. Stream links aren't that great though. But some channels are flawless
