Scholes: "Schweinsteiger isn't good enough nor does he deserve to play with Wayne Rooney"

Recommended Posts

Scholes said: “You expect more from Schweinsteiger, a player who’s won the World Cup and the Champions League.

“The biggest art as a midfield player is to find space, not in your back four or left-back position, in the centre of the park where it’s most congested, and contribute to your forward players.

“There are too many passes before getting into the final third, which is why the forwards like Wayne Rooney have struggled. They don’t get the service.

“The two central midfielders play 10 yards behind the centre-halves and play easy passes.

“I don’t mind that, getting a bit of space if you’re going to play it forward or hit a long pass, but he takes too many touches and he’s constantly coming back inside.

“Schweinsteiger claps a backpass to the goalkeeper and he plays every week, so the manager must be happy with the way they play."

Rio on Ibra

“There’s no doubting his ability but I wouldn’t put him up there with Messi and Ronaldo, and I wouldn’t even put him on the Suarez, Neymar, or the Bale level, to be honest,”.

Giggs puts Rooney in best man utd 11 he's played with over Cole, Yorke, RVP, Tevez and RVN

:/

He was easily a better player than Cole, Yorke, RVP and Tevez so why not?

What don't you agree with him about?

Are u seriously gonna say Bastian isn't world class and quality? Bastian>>>>>>Rooney. There is no debate and i'm not even anti Rooney the 2002-2008 Rooney was a joy to watch good memories of that Rooney but those days are long gone

When was Rooney world class? Which season? Which games was did he provide world class performances?

Never been anywhere near the level Suarez is now.

He's never seen Robben or Ibras tier.

Highest he reached is tier 3. (nothing to be ashamed of at all). Never been a time where he'd walk into or could challenge for a place in the top sides in Europe.

He's played at the highest level for a top European side almost his whole career. He was world class from when he joined you at 18 years old

Suarez isn't the measuring stick of world class you know.  Do you consider RVN to have been world class?

So did Gary Neville. That isnt the yard stick. How can you be world class on the back of a couple of goals for Everton at 17?

He had world class potential, he never fulfilled it. He was never on that elite level.

You didn't answer my questions. Name some games where he put in a world class performance. Not just scored but actually been unplayable from start to finish like Robben, Ribery, Ibra, Suarez etc have been over the years in some big games.

Gary Neville lol. Bit different being a right back and a striker

His performances for Man Utd made him world class. I'm not talking about Everton. He's had many great ones...against us for instance.

He was a world class player who peaked early but wasnt able to maintain it
