Middle England sees him as "unelectable"

PR nightmare for Corbyn to be seen with a black rapper that wears a durag tbh

Didn't see this post but c/s.

If Labour don't want to get decimated, they'd do well to minimise contact and photo ops with minority groups in the run in to the election. Cos right now they're seen as the party for weirdo liberal Londoners and ethnics - which the majority of this country isn't made up of.

Look what happens when he comes into contact with people that are actually respected by the electorate:

These JMEs and Akalas ain't helping Labour's cause at all. In fact they're probably losing them the significant votes.

From the point of view of your average voter, this guy has London rudeboy rappers endorsing him in the Guardian, just reaffirms their beliefs that Labour isn't for them.

Neither are the Tories obviously but Dacre and Murdoch etc.

The average working class, traditionally Labour but newly Tory supporter is not reading the guardian anyway

why does everyone go on about this?

why can he not speak to someone who wants to discuss ideas with him without fear of "alienating" people

thats exactly what people complain about, that they dont go out and speak to real people, he does but suddenly he's its bad because ignorant people wont vote for him because they see a durag?

what kinda scared shit is that

92% of this country is white

JME represents 2% of the country

Absolute waste, certain people already have a victim complex... seeing him pandering to an ethnic rapper lol PR DISASTER

Elections dont work like that David.

Need to secure your safe seats and then put all your eggs in the swing seats.

The last elections and Brexit showed us the key concerns amongst voters... Labour need to be addressing these concerns.

Quote

The Conservatives are likely to gain a series of key target seats in the upcoming general election, capitalising on their strong position in the polls over the Labour Party.

An analysis of the 2015 general election results by The Telegraph has shown that around 58 seats in Labour's North and Midlands heartlands are under threat due to the Brexit effect in the upcoming snap election on June 8.

There are 58 Labour-held seats where the Conservatives are fewer than 9,000 votes behind and where the constituents voted Leave in the EU referendum last June – 37 of which are located in the Midlands or in the North of England.

The seat with the narrowest Labour majority is Halifax where the Conservatives finished just 428 votes behind Labour in the 2015 general election. This seat is particularly vulnerable due to the fact that Halifax voted to Leave the EU by 60 per cent.

Class is no longer the dividing line in British politics with the Conservatives attracting considerable support from working class voters according to recent polling.

Some 43 per cent of C2DE voters - which includes skilled and unskilled manual labourers, casual workers and pensioners - said that they intend to vote Tory in the upcoming General Election, rising just three points among ABC1 voters, who include managerial, administrative or professional workers.

The Labour Party has sunk to attracting just 24 per cent of middle class and 26 per cent of working class voters.

If you want to find the new dividing line in British politics, age is the new predictor. Generally, YouGov's polling has found that the older you get, the more likely you are to vote Conservative.

Labour is 19 points ahead among 18-24 year-olds while the Conservatives are ahead by a huge 49 points among the over 65s.

Corbyn knows he ain't getting middle England and is losing a lot of the working class.

So he's attempting to grab the large portion of young people that don't vote. JME is a safe ethnic for all these white kids that discovered Grime in 2015.

It's not gonna work or be enough but he can't do much else really. Powers that be will never allow him in.

Always works on certain people though. Who feel it's expected of them to parrot 'respect the troops'

The type who talk about how they love our soldiers yet walk past homeless ones on the street as if they're dirt.

Tbh he's doing a good job of grabbing the young vacant vote

it won't win him the election tho. Needs a scumbag rag to back him for that and that's out of the question
