I'm going to use myself and a few others of my age for example. I'm 22 going on 23, so back in 1986 George Graham was manager of Arsenal, during 1994/95 he was given the boot due to the bung incident, at that age I was 8-9 I knew what was going on (you may not understand the bung bits but when someone is gone you will). Houston and Rice took for the rest of that season, got us to a European final which we lost. Following season Rioch took over I was 9 hitting 10, then after that Rice become caretaker manager, my age was what 10-11, then Wenger took over and the rest is history.So yes I was supporting my team before I was 8 or 9 and I'm sure many others did.
