Signing players because your team lacks attacking talent and signing players because you want more attacking talent than your rivals are 2 different things.

I base my opinion on watching the game and then when I find a stat/video/gif to back it up it's only right to use it when someone with a biased opinion tries to challenge my opinion.

 

You think these players are wanted so you have more attacking options than your rivals? Dumbest thing you ever wrote. Your team needs improving, that's why

You lost the title the season before. Ferguson identified a lack of striking quality so he signed the leagues top scorer who then actually became your no 1 striker. Low and behold you won the league

 

Let's take Hazard for example. If he picked you instead of Chelsea tell me why he would walk backwards into your team if he wasn't needed?

 

- England shouldn't be built around Carrick because he's a sideman. Doesnt have the minerals to be the lynchpin for the national team

- Torres at his peak was a truely amazing player. This goes back to my point about actually watching the games. You're the type of person who posts when a game is on.

- Iniesta is a sideman yes and Xavi is more important than him for both Barca and Spain. How can you even dispute this?

I disproved your point son. Van Persie was signed as your attack wasn't good enough. It wasn't about having more options than Citeh. It's more quality over quantity

 

Hazard was wanted as your attack was not deemed good enough and now so is Fabgregas

Why you think teams like Barcelona and Bayern and Dortmund have phased out that type of player, he is no longer needed in the modern game

 

RVP/Chica/Welbeck/Nani/Kagawa/Zaha/Rooney/Rafael/Giggs is enough attacking talent imo with Young and Valencia also there too

 

Like I said two CMs and we will be fine

I actually think Gustavo would be a fucked signing for United.

 

Dunno why anyone thinks he would be signing for Moyes though.

 

Moyes has a reputation to build before we get any big names through the door.

 

This years CL is key to him building that reputation, we have to have a good run this season.

We should be looking at Gundogan , Veratti players in the mould of the great scholes. 

 

Gustavo is not what we need. Carrick has only been allowed to be the " Pirlo " of our team because scholes' appearances were depleting until eventually he retired.

 

If we had someone like the players i mentioned not only could carrick break up play ( which he actually does very well) he can contribute to ball distribution..

 

Gustavo is not the CM we are looking for . its a shame, Clevs is actually alot like scholes when you watch him . VERY good at 1 touch ball. but he misses that ability to spray balls like carrick/scholes and never takes his chance when he gets in front of goal.

again u have to be realistic, we wont get varatti( not too sure but i think hes signed an extention), i agree that we should be lookin at Gundogan but we are not sure if hes even available, yes them type of players are needed but most if not all of that quality are not for sale.

 

gustavo isnt the CM we are looking for but he will protect the defence ,something we lacked last season,leaked in so many goals because out midfield got handled at times

 

he will also relieve carrick of some of his duties...

 

carrick is the only midfielder that has a role to play, the rest are currently too inconsistent to hold a spot down, for a top team like united,thats poor

Gustavo was a complete beast a couple of seasons ago.   Played a great game against Madrid when they knocked them out and Bayern missed him in the final.   Rated him higher than Sandro back then (Sandro is better now)

 

I don't think Utd need him though.  Utd dominate 80% of teams in the prem, He's not the best on the ball and doesn't have that attacking threat, a player like Fellaini would be much better suited than him IMO as he can do both jobs. Obviously good player for Europe and big games but i don't expect Utd to go for him
