From the telegraph article John Doe posted...

Moyes’s perceived cautious approach has been viewed as blunting the team’s attacking potential, and although senior players embraced his determination last summer to make training more physically demanding than under Sir Alex Ferguson it is now regarded as having contributed little of benefit to a team who are in seventh position in the Premier League, 12 points adrift of Champions League qualification.

Having grown accustomed to ball-related training under Ferguson and coaches Rene Meulensteen and Mike Phelan, there is less enthusiasm for Moyes’s preference for more structured sessions centred on team shape and organisation and concern has also been expressed about a lack of continuity in team selection – highlighted by the surprise recall of Ryan Giggs to the team against Olympiakos last week and his subsequent absence from the squad in the following games against West Ham United and City.

Robin van Persie’s comments to a Dutch television station following the defeat against Olympiakos last month, when the forward claimed that team-mates were “occupying the spaces I want to play in”, proved the first public example of Moyes’s tactics being questioned by his players. The Dutchman ultimately offered his backing to the manager in a supportive interview in the United programme before the Liverpool defeat, however.

While sources at Old Trafford do not contest the disaffection of some members of Moyes’s squad, the view until the defeat against Liverpool was that the majority of those with an axe to grind were players who faced an uncertain future at the club beyond the end of this season.

Exasperation has grown, however, and Moyes is regarded as having few allies in the dressing room as he approaches the final seven league games of the season.

We can talk all day about how much money Fergie and now Moyes would've had to spend on players but what difference is it gonna make this summer if we're not doing more ball-related training to make our players more comfortable on the ball in matches? Or if #10's are getting played out of position? Or if wingers are picked based on how well they can track back rather than how well they can attack? Or if a winning starting 11 one week is changed the next week for no valid reason? Etc.

Uniteds team costs more then citys the other

Spread over different periods of time
Don't let facts interfere with the narrative.

Before Mata It took United 10 years to break their transfer record. This all while the market was going on mad.

32 million in 2004. When Juve were spending that same p in 2001 on a goalkeeper! (Albeit a very good one)

"They tell me it's the biggest club in the world"

Man were searching for "Value" signings whilst other were buying quality players.

Aldi and Waitrose!

Pep Guardiola has lost just 23 games in his entire managerial career.

David Moyes has lost 14 games this season.

now obviously moyes has been in management longer than pep but this is a disgusting statistic

considering man utd are allegedly 'the biggest club in the world'  why was this guy appointed?

whats getting on my nerves is the daily updates of ex players asking everyone to give moyes time

cantona and keane have now both  dropped these bars in the last 24 hrs

but why should he be given time -what has he done to show what he would do with that time? its truly mind boggling

No pro, is gonna call for a managers head so soon, especially those with aspirations of managerial jobs themselves. It's short sighted and could prove to be detrimental on a personal level.

With the Bayern game in mind I just had a look at how each club were in 2008 and what factors have brought us to a situation where people are fully shook to play them now.

It didn't take long to realise where each club has gone right/wrong.

P.S David Moyes is a symptom not the disease.

yh that makes sense but why then not just keep quiet

i may be wrong but it seems as if they are coming out and saying these things - fair enough if they are being asked the question

and i'd say moyes is more of a catalyst of the disease then a symptom

The disease was fully caught in 2005, the drugs and medication kept it at bay, then the line of medication was discontinued/retired.

In short Fergie was able to hold of the affects of the illness.

Bayern are run by club legends who aren't shook to ghost managers and criticise under performing players.

Also do you think if Bayern were 3rd let alone 7th in the table the likes of Effenberg,Kahn would say back the manager etc etc?

When I said Bayern were bigger/better ran than Man Utd it was laughed at.

Imagine if Ruminegge,Beckenbauer,Hoeness let Heynckes handpick his own successor it would of been Klinsmann all over again(failure).

I've asked the question all season, if Moyes is sacked now, who picks his successor?

United's board is full of lawyers accountants and Glazer's the only "football people" on it are Charlton and Fergie.

I'll say it again who wants Woodward or Brian Glazer picking the new manager?

This is why Fergie was giving the reigns of naming the new man in the first place, the others on the board wouldn't know where to start, Conpare the process to when Fergie said he was retiring in. 02

Then he was asked an oppinion which was then discarded. Now we're meant to believe he was given complete control of who the new manager is?

Man United deny rumours Beckham and Qatari royal family are poised to buy out club for £2bn after Glazer family 'lose interest'

Manchester United have rubbished suggestions the Glazer Family have lost interest in the club and a £2billion Qatari bid fronted by David Beckham is poised to take over.

According to reports, Beckham and his 'Class of '92' teammates Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and the Neville Brothers are involved in a bid funded by the Qatari royal family.

They have approached the Glazer family - who own 90 per cent of the Old Trafford club - on a number of occasions and the price remains the only stumbling block.

Rumours: Manchester United have been forced to deny speculation that David Beckham is fronting a bid by the Qatari royal family to buy the club from the Glazer family

Lost interest? There is speculation the Glazer family, who own 90 per cent of the club, are willing to sell. Avram Glazer is pictured at the recent Champions League match with Olympiacos

Class of 92: Beckham, along with former United players (from left) Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs are poised to buy out the club

Bid: (From left) Giggs, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Butt, Scholes and Beckham at the premiere of the film ' Class of 92' in December last year

Projects: Beckham has been out in Miami promoting his new MLS franchise

It had been suggested in The Sun that the Glazers have become disillusioned with running the club as they lurch from one disaster to another under David Moyes.

United find themselves seventh in the Barclays Premier League, having just suffered back-to-back 3-0 home defeats to rivals Liverpool and Manchester United, and have been drawn with Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

But club sources insist the club is not up for sale, with the Glazers determined to stay in charge and oversee a rebuilding job to challenge once again at the top of the table.

Led by brothers Avram and Joel, the Glazer family bought United in 2005 but ceded 10 per cent of their control in a 2012 share issue.

Bad times: Javier Hernandez, Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney stand around dejected after Manchester City score the third of their goals in Tuesday's 3-0 derby win at Old Trafford

The Sun also reported that horseracing trainer Ged Mason, bookmaker Fred Done and other wealthy fans had been approached over a prospective deal.

A source told the tabloid: 'The Glazers have lost interest. Everyone knows the club is effectively for sale. It's just a question of getting the right price where they recoup their money and make a bit to save face.'

United's share price on the New York Stock Exchange rose by two per cent to $16.14 on Wednesday, valuing the club at £1.6billion.

Many Manchester United fans have been unhappy with the ownership of the Glazer family since they purchased a controlling stake in the club for £810million in 2005.

The initial protests came as a result of the takeover itself, as the Glazers performed a highly leveraged buyout - effectively dumping £525million debt on the club overnight.

Manchester United's board had earlier branded the Glazer family's plans 'aggressive'.

Although they paid £270million from their own funds, the rest of the money used to purchase Manchester United came in the form of loans - the majority of which were secured against the club's assets -  which have since incurred interest payments of more than £60million a year.

In the four years up to June 2009, when Manchester United last published their accounts - the club became liable to pay more than £325million in interest alone, not including interest not paid.

This increased the debt the Glazers loaded on to the club to about £700million.

Many supporters felt the Glazer family - who also own the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers - had taken a great risk in their financial dealings.

Fans accused them of using Manchester United purely for financial gain and to remove debt from their US-business interests, adding that they had failed to understand the significance of owning one of the most successful and best supported clubs in the world. The Glazers have always denied this to be the case.

As a result of the anger, from 2009 supporter groups encouraged match-going fans to wear green and gold - the colours of Newton Heath FC - which was the original name for Manchester United.

The protest was seen as a way to remind the Glazers of the long history of the club and to remind them there was more at stake than money.

Green and gold scarves and hats have become a symbol of resistance against the Glazers ever since, and remain a common sight at the club's 76,000-seater stadium Old Trafford.

£2 billion would definitley be enough to buy the club.

The owners are many things, stupid isn't one of them.

The Qatari's have been linked on and off for years now among others. They weren't willing to pay 2 billion when things were looking good I'd be confused as to why their position would've changed now.

Angry Manchester United fans have bombarded a woman on Twitter with hundreds of irate messages after mistaking her for the daughter of manager David Moyes.

Sarah Moyes, 27, who uses the Twitter handle @moyesy, has received a constant flurry of abusive and hurtful messages since the beleaguered boss took over the Premier League club from Sir Alex Ferguson last year.

However, fed up of fans venting their fury at her after Man U’s 3-0 defeat to rivals Manchester City on Tuesday, the comedy club worker pointed out she was no relation and politely asked people to stop.
