Was a very good option all things considered (cheap, played for the manager twice before, young, PL experience) but there are other options. All depends on how much Rodgers rates him and if he thinks he's worth the wages if can convince FSG he's worth that much.

Strange transfer window, can't see anyone we're going to go for. Rodriguez will want CL football, Ramirez is apparently a target but there's nothing concrete, Vargas talk is just his agent looking for a new deal IMO. All the other reported targets are just players Swansea apparently wanted before e.g. Clasie from Feyenoord. Even though he would be perfect for what we need i can't see us going for him. Bit annoying how slow we are moving considering how many positions we need to fill in the side. Fully expecting another transfer window that ends in us STILL having massive gaps in the squad like the last summer. Serious questions about our transfer moves and who makes our decisions.

yes they're still here. Borrell is Reserve team manager and Segura is the academy technical manager.

haze don't know about anyone else but i'm not expecting much tbh. Will be yet another 'transitional season' imo, Rodgers trying to implement his style of football.

Don't really expect much from FSG so we'll have gaps in the squad as always which will come to bite us throughout the season. This summer has been frustrating as hell but it was to be expected. Can't see any big signings coming in so just hoping Rodgers identifies young targets that can improve the team immediately. Don't even know who we are targeting tbh. Too much sh*t is getting left unrectified and its always going to be the same story as far as i can see, jamie carragher is stealing a living currently, should retire NOW. Fully confident Sami Hyypia could go back to playing and outperform him easily.

All in all i just want to see Rodgers get rid of the underperforming players and bring in some decent replacements then get us playing good football and try to get us back into the top 4.

if it comes when i don't expect it great but you can feel when you got a title challenging squad and when we had Xabi Alonso in his last season with us guys like Torres,Masch etc. I felt we had a good starting 11 to beat anyone. Now I don't rate sooooo much of the starting 11 so lets NOT talk about the squad.
