Took my 40 mins from cross Stratford flyover. Thought f*ck this, turned back, now back in bed

no, his bus journey (due to no train he took bus) from Stratford took 40 minutes, and he was virtually nowhere, so he got a bus back the other way, went home and slept. 

 

if he walked to work, why would the tube strike have affected him?

Lol sorry lads.

I decided to drive to work (Knightsbridge). It took over 40 mins just to go from Stratford station, to the end of the fly over. I got to the flyover (bow roundabout) and could see standstill traffic going all the way up Mile End road. Thought fuck this, done a u-turn, went home and straight in to bed. Furthermore the Sat Nav was giving me updates saying est. time would take to reach work would be 3 and a half hours. Could drive to Manchester in that same time to travel about 7 miles in the city.
