Isco to real madrid?

Carlo Ancelotti's first signing at Real Madrid will be Isco. Real Madrid will pay €24 million, plus up to €3m more depending on the results and objectives achieved.

'Los Blancos' were optimistic on Friday after negotiations with Málaga to reach a deal for the player. On Saturday, Real Madrid finally reached an agreement with Málaga.

Moayad Shatat - Málaga's executive vice-president - had a meeting with Real Madrid's executive general director, José Ángel Sánchez, in order to negotiate a transfer.

The Andalusian club reduced the player's €35-million buyout clause to reach an agreement, as both parties weighed up different financial incentive options to be included. Isco is 21 years old and if he wins trophies at Real, establishes himself in the Spain squad and reaches a series of appearances milestones for his team and country both clubs could benefit from the deal.

There was also the possibility of other players coming into the equation - Callejón, Jesé and even Morata's names were mentioned. With such a makeweight, the fee would have been reduced to no more than €20 million. However, Real wanted to hang on to these players.

Manchester City was another club hot on the tail of the midfielder and has been waiting for an answer from both club and player. The fact that Manuel Pellegrini managed Isco at Málaga couldn't swing the deal in City's favour. Isco was more interested in signing for Real Madrid.

Sky sources understand Stephane Sessegnon has been told he can leave Sunderland, but he is not interested in a rumoured move to China.

Reports emerged this week that Tianjin Teda were interested in the forward, but Sky Tyne and Wear understands he would not consider a move from the north east of England to the north east of China.

A source close to the player insists he is happy at Sunderland and was willing to commit his future to the club, but the Black Cats are now open to offers for the former Paris Saint Germain man.

The source told Sky Tyne and Wear: "He [sessegnon] has been told he can go.

"He was very happy to commit and stay at Sunderland but if the club wants a clear-out what can you do?"

Work is under way to find the Benin international a new club but a move is not imminent, with the source adding: "At the moment it is quiet."

Sessegnon has scored 18 goals for Sunderland since joining from PSG in 2011 for £6m.

Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet will have a medical on Merseyside on Tuesday before completing a £9m move to Liverpool.

Mignolet, 25, will become Liverpool's fourth new signing after Manchester City's Kolo Toure, Sevilla's Luis Alberto and Celta Vigo's Iago Aspas.

The Belgium international has played 101 games for Sunderland since his £2m move from Sint-Truiden in June 2010.

He kept 11 clean sheets in 40 matches last season for the Black Cats.

Mignolet was expected to arrive in Liverpool from Belgium on Monday evening and an announcement on the completion of the move is expected on Tuesday barring any late delays.

Liverpool's current first-choice keeper Pepe Reina, 30, has been linked with a return to Spanish champions Barcelona, where he started his career.

The Reds have already agreed to sign 32-year-old Manchester City defender Toure on a free transfer and finalised a deal for Celta Vigo striker Aspas, 25, for £7m.

Sevilla midfielder Luis Alberto, 20, has joined the Reds for £6.8m, while manager Brendan Rodgers is also tracking highly-rated Sporting Lisbon defender Tiago Ilori, 20, and 24-year-old Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Shakhtar Donetsk.
