Spanish daily AS have decided to check the pulse of Real Madrid fans towards Gareth Bale this Tuesday, a couple of days after El Clasico.

Bale courted plenty of criticism in the 2-1 defeat at the Camp Nou on Sunday night, as the 100 million man failed to have much of an impact on the game.

In a brutal stat, Gareth Bale touched the ball just 14 times in the 2nd half of the match at Barcelona last weekend. Moreover, Bale had the worst pass accuracy amongst all of the players who featured in the Clasico, with only 58.6 per cent of his passes finding their intended target.

The backlash towards Bale was seen a while after the game, when the Welsh wizard had his white Bentley attacked by one nutter at Real’s training ground.

AS have since polled 8,532 Real Madrid fans to find out whether Bale should keep his place in the Los Blancos starting XI, and a whopping 68.3% of those polled called for the former Spurs man to be axed.

Bale should return to action this Saturday night, when Wales take on Israel in Haifa in Euro 2016 qualification.
