I once was dragged to the equity trading one of these by my friend when we were all unemployed at the time. The one hosted by the White guy.

I spent the session challenging the guy's crazy claims, to the point where he was ignoring my comments and eventually quietly asked me to leave during a break.

Needless to said friend has probably paid 2k to him by now.

Is this one of the guys who was helping run it?

A 20-YEAR-OLD from Selsdon has been jailed after he wrongfully kept nearly £25,000 mistakenly paid into his account by an NHS cancer trust and spent around £20,000 of it on high-tech goods.

When police questioned Ronel Kiyanga, of Shepherds Way, Monks Hill, he claimed the money was from a compensation payout linked to an accident claim.

But, it emerged, the money was paid into his account by mistake after a scam email was sent to the Manchester-based Christie NHS Trust, which runs the Christie hospital - one of Europe's leading cancer treatment centres.

Kiyanga was jailed for a year last Friday, February 20, after being found guilty at Croydon Crown Court of two counts of retaining a wrongful credit.

Police were unable to prove Kiyanga was involved in sending the scam email to the trust.

The trust had made two payments, a total of just over £24,500, into an account in October 2012 after they were sent an email purporting to be from a supplier claiming to have changed bank accounts.

But the supplier later contacted the trust to say no payment had been received for its invoices.

Police linked the account the money was paid into with Kiyanga and he was arrested at his home on May 31, 2013.

Officers found no evidence to back up Kiyanga’s claim the money had come from a compensation payout and they also discovered that a total of £22,000 had been withdrawn from his account in the same month the trust’s money had been mistakenly paid in.

Detective Constable Rob Wevill, the investigating officer, said: "Although we were never able to prove Kiyanga had knowledge of, or was involved in getting the NHS Trust to pay the money into his account, anyone receiving unexpected payments for this amount of money should have reported it to the bank or police.

"Kiyanga, on the other hand, decided to go out almost immediately and spend the money, buying foreign currency and high value tech goods worth over £20k.

"Anyone who mistakenly receives money into their account should report it to their bank immediately, however large or small the sum.

"In this case it was patently obvious that Kiyanga was not the rightful or intended recipient and he is now facing a custodial sentence for his dishonesty."

Police have now applied to recover the money from Kiyanga. A confiscation hearing will take place at Croydon Crown Court on June 12.
