Not much more to tell. She was about 5 years old and she met him once and found him frightening.
Her grandmother was a black African maroon and ended up marrying a freed slave. She taught him their language...
She only told me recently. No one else knew. More lost history cos theres obviously a lot more to the story. Plantation to maroon town...how? When?

Lol@ Irish being cool whites. They're just as racist as the rest of them when the time is right...but they do get a boy cos they didn't partake in the slave trade...but that's only cos they were t in the position to. But they did suffer massively under the hands of the English.
They went to America and although were not always as on equal levels as rest of the whites at the time they still didn't suffer much of what black people suffered there..then they learnt from their hosts and became just as racist.
Now you have Sean hannity and Bill o Reilly on fox.... Irish racist bastards

Ironic then irish/italian/jewish americans are some of the most racist.
Ireland suffered colonisation, as did almost every african country, and arguably no where near as badly, lets not even talk slavery or modern day struggles.

Irish people still moaning about potato famine and being ostracised by their own race.
Get over it.
