And nar. Like a numpty they didn't tell us we were getting Autographs or anything so I didn't take anything to get signed. Couple of the other dudes got photographed as they were getting shirts signed. Were not allowed to bring your own Cameras or anything into Carrington.

Yea I probably have had pics up to be fair. Not with the first team no.... Was a madness in the Gym Area. Literally as the pics were being took I didn't even know who was in it, all I clocked was RVP and Shinji infront of me as we were looking forward and was complaining about "Who the f*ck was the guy directly in front of me" didn't even realise it was Buttner at the time. Was a couple other groups there too getting their team photos, then everyone kinda scattered getting things signed. Only people I really spoke too were the reserve guys, Had a long chat with Dennis Law and met Robson and Irwin.

 

Was all pretty quick and secure. Had to wait in an Office as soon as we got there which was when Dennis walked in, had a chat with him, then they ushered us all to the Gym. Was in there like 10-15 mins tops then ushered back out to the Offices where they let us on the Balcony to watch them train on the pitches for about 20 minutes then we headed to OT.

Talked to Dennis for quite a while. Was talking about how Alex wanted Carrington etc to be the best in the world and how they are extending it or something. He was cracking jokes about the lighting they had been using on the pitch grass too saying he thought they had started growing cannabis plants. I asked him who he thought the best player in the current team was but he just replied with how the whole team has to be of quality and not an individual. Asked him did he think Ronaldo would ever return to United, he either didn't understand the question or dodged it as he just started talking about how Ronnie always wanted to play for Madrid which we all knew anyway. My dude was asking him how he felt to know these players are getting 100k upwards every week and he just laughed saying he cries himself to sleep every day and how tough they had it in training in their time on water logged pitches and how they had to train at Old Trafford / Not sure if they even had The Cliff back then. 

 

One Polish dude got caught slipping. He was talking about his National Team and Lewandowski and all them then he tried to joke with Dennis saying well we beat your side England 3-1 a while back I bet you remember that, and Dennis just laughed like yea course I would since I played for Scotland lol.

 

Absolute Top Guy though, had a lot of time for the people there. Even at OT's ground when we were in the Treble Suite he came right over to the table with all the winners on and was like is this seat taken and sat with all us for dinner rather than the suited up people.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Genuinely thought I would be a nervous wreck so passed the opportunity to the next man. Wasn't even going to walk on for the pic originally but last minute I thought f*ck it. Soon as I stepped out and all the crowds there looking at you though the nerves were non existant. Think I would of buried it but if I missed, my memory would be yea "I missed the one and only penalty I would ever of got to take at OT" lol so I can live with it right now.

 

We got pulled from the stands like 30 minutes into the game and rushed downstaires to the original tunnel. It's the only part of the stadium that still exists from before the Germans bombed OT. Had to wait there until the whistle blew and the players were walking off. Irwin was having a laugh with the 3 Penalty dudes asking how calm they were.

Love those stats. Not all stats are good as can be misleading or not take into account other factors...

But the pure nonsense that was always spouted about he only passes sideways (clearly was team instructions at the time anyway) etc just gets blown out the water

Carrick has been mediocre every other season

Nigga even had the cheek to say he didn't wanna be in the England set up if he weren't gonna be starting
