Minor issue with it tbh. Should've been used a lot more in subtext if you get what I mean. 

 

 

Like when Avon and DeAngelo went to see their relative in that care home. He and Dee were walking on a floor that resembled a chess board... was never pointed out or a direct link made to chess but it was there in the rewatch.

Hear u but when u take into account the ages, lack of world view and lived experiences of the pit boys at the time it makes sense that D'Angelo would try and get through to them with the dusty board game man play on the block when they're not chapping

for us the viewer it might've been abit on the nose but suspend Ur disbelief and I really think it made perfect sense
