Soca Junkie
african man dem in general have smooth unblemished skin Its to do with the water over here. The hard water is not good for the skin. Lather from soap doesn't wash off properly. The food they eat over there is rich in nutrients, Good weather It all adds up. I notice when I travel out for holidays my skin seems blemish free. There is one black soap that my gran used ot make. Its from natural stuff. Its quite common in west africa . I can't remember the name. But that sh*t works wonders. My mum calls it Alata semina... It's a mixture of loads of soups but with something else in it.. Can't remember. It lightly bleaches your skin but works wonders for things like skin blemishes and eczema... Clears the skin nicely! Needs to be used with normal soap though. Just clocked this was bumped. Ignore this post lol.

I never would have expected this thread to give so much lol's / Don't ramp with thick grease (unless you're trying to hook them waves) otherwise you'll have to be washing your hair too regularly. Cop an oil sheen spray and rub it scalp deep once or twice a day.

Natalie
Only use shampoo to wash your hair 2-3 times a month. Use conditioner to wash your hair with instead. Most shampoos contain a drying agent which just messes up your hair. Also, elasta qp mango butter is a saviour. Most black hair shops sell this. Fresh
Only use shampoo to wash your hair 2-3 times a month. I don't think this applies to men, we get haircuts about every 2 weeks so need to be washing at least once a week IMO more so if you use products. KayGee
You don't need to wash your hair with shampoo weekly, I only just about do that and I have long curls using oils and creams daily. Imagine how much more exposed your scalp is with short hair. 1

KayGee
But if he has issues with his scalp then the correct advice is being given by the females who know more about hair and skin than maybe yourself. If what you do works great but he has an issue..
