We got city, olympiakos and Liverpool next month. I fully expect a hiding from city or pool and welcome it. If that doesn't push moyes out the club then he's defo here for at least another season.

smh

Thank god man like you are only supporters by virtue of sky sports.

No worries. Sometimes es you have to cut the finger to save the hand.

its only going to get worse with this man at the helm and a hefty loss to pool surely would turn even the most devout of moyes supporters.

Once Stretford end have turned against him, it should be more or less job done

can't wait until that annoying 'chosen one' banner is taken down

No chance of him leaving this season. I want him to succeed but my lack of belief that he can fuels my impatience with him. He'll get his opportunity to bring in some Quality this summer but I think he needs to go and get some counselling or something about his negative attitude he puts across during his interviews.

Lol ffs that vid says it all. Been saying for a while we havent got any players on kagawas wavelength.

I feel like writing a formal letter to moyes for a response as to why he is not first name on the team sheet. Its honestly the most frustrating thing for me atm. Were so shit and yet our best baller doesnt get a look in. Why? I need some sort of answer, just for some closure.

Also, lol @ 'Booooom to the side' when waynes tryna spray it

I hear what your saying, but surely you've answered the question as to why he doesn't play.

All season I’ve said Robin van Persie is too static.

He's far too static.

He’s like an artillery piece.

He trundles around liked an 18th century cannon that's being pulled by four big horses, looking for somewhere to fire his big shot.

On Saturday I watched the first 20 minutes of United’s game at Crystal Palace.

The rapport between Rooney and van Persie was zero. They didn’t make runs for each other and didn’t pass to each other and made the game pitiful and pointless. And since United have no midfield, the game was unwatchable, so I switched it off.

On Sunday morning I woke up and realised that, for the first time in my life, I’d gone to bed on a Saturday night without knowing the Manchester United result.

I got up and found that they’d won 2-0.

Increasingly, I get annoyed when people say, “If Van Persie and Rooney both play, they’ll score goals.”

That is garbage and last night’s farce in Athens proved it.

Robin's comment on the game is staggering.

Is this the most arrogant and misguided comment we’ve ever heard from a footballer?

Van Persie told a Dutch broadcaster, “My fellow players are sometimes occupying the spaces I want to play in. And unfortunately, they are often playing in my zones. I think that's a shame. And when I see that, it makes it difficult for me to come to those spaces as well. So that forces me to adjust my runs, based on the position of my fellow players.” It’s a team game, Robin !

Another translation, shown on Sky Sports News, was: “It was quite difficult because my teammates are often in the area where I want to play. That’s why I have to change my tactics. Unfortunately, they are often in my area.”

My area?

Does he want My Area marked out by the groundsman?

So nobody else can go in there? Is he a tennis player?

Does he think the other 10 United players are his ball boys?

What a crybaby! This supreme egotist lives on Planet Persie.

What he said is beyond belief: Unfortunately, some of my team mates go in my area?

This superstar is not the first to disappear up his own arse and won’t be the last.

But, dear readers, pray tell me if you’ve ever heard anything as deeply misguided from a professional footballer.

By refusing to move around and inter-act with the other players, Robin van Persie’s stubborn, selfish attitude prevented a mediocre, jittery Man United team from having any chance to win that game or even draw it.

When RVP was at Arsenal, and got the ball in deeper areas, he slowed the game down. And got involved in violent skirmishes.

That was why Wenger played him up top, where he could finish but not slow Arsenal down.

I was going to write something about Olympiakos 2 Man United 0 but there was no game. I’ve forgotten it already.

Oh yes! My agony when I saw the appalling Kagawa come on.

When he came on I said, “Manchester United should pay me £10,000 a game to watch Kagawa.”

United have to choose between Rooney and Robin.

And they already have done.

Therefore Moyes needed a proven striker who suits Rooney.

There is no striker in football today who is more unsuitable to partner Rooney than Robin van Persie.

But Chicharito holds a contrasting view to the former Arsenal forward, instead saying that he owes everything to the players around him.

The Mexican wrote on Instagram: “Without your team-mates you can't be somebody in football, always be thankful...”

If not a riposte to Van Persie's barbed comments, then Chicharito's post, which was accompanied by a photo of himself with left-back Patrice Evra, could allude to the French defender's possible departure.

Gary Neville says the Manchester United players will be in more danger of getting the chop than manager David Moyes.

Neville joined Geoff Sheeves on this week's Champions League Podcast where he reiterated that Moyes will have the backing of the board despite the under-par results this season.

"I said earlier on in the season the players will be in more danger than the manager," said the former United captain. "The way in which Manchester United have always worked is to give the manager time and I believe in that philosophy.

"Managers are getting sacked after 70 days but to even think of sacking a manager after seven months is nonsense, so I think [united] will support Moyes.

"You look at the people on the board, and we're talking about the Glazer family and whether they've ever been put in this position before.

"But you look at the likes of David Gill, Sir Bobby Charlton, Sir Alex Ferguson - who are obviously the main football people at Manchester United - and I don't think for one second it will be crossing their minds at this moment in time.

"The players will be more at threat and feeling nervous about whether they are part of the future."

Neville added: "I think Ed Woodwood said as part of his shareholder announcement a couple of weeks ago that the money would be there for Moyes to invest in the summer.

"I truly believe Moyes will get given the opportunity at Manchester United to complete his work.

"I've said myself, two to three years is the time that should be given to a manager for him to try and do a piece of work - there will be people who will disagree with that but that's my opinion and you won't change that.

"Sir Alex Ferguson got given two to three years and now people turn around and say that's 25 years ago, well alright, what's changed? Are we saying managers can't get given time now?

"I don't know what the board are going to do but my view of that club, which is the way they always speak and the way they've always behaved, is that managers get given time - Ron Atkinson gets given time, Dave Sexton gets given time, Sir Alex Ferguson gets given time.

"A lot of the same people are still there - Sir Bobby Charlton, Martin Edwards is still around the club.

"The people who are there believe in the philosophy around the club and have been at United for many, many years and that's why they've given David Moyes a six-year contract.

"I have to say at another football club, whether it be Chelsea - we saw with Andre Villas-Boas who was sacked - or Tottenham, Moyes would be in a lot more trouble.

"But he's at the club that you'd say he was probably safest, where the club will stand by him - think about Sir Alex Ferguson, he's public on his philosophy around giving people time.

"It probably jars against what most clubs are doing these days but, that's the Manchester United way and always has been and they would have to change that philosophy.

"In terms of an acceptable season it's gone because Manchester United have to win a trophy - that's the barometer of measuring Manchester United's seasons.

"It's not acceptable that Manchester United don't win a trophy, it's not been acceptable for 25 years, it's not going to change this year."

He doesnt fit because we (moyes/fergie) dont make him fit.

I say noone on his wavelength, but carrick is. Van persie, welbeck and cleverly suit his style and mata certainly can play on his wavelength.

Have mata and kags even been on the pitch at the same time yet??

Its a disgrace tbh

Kagawa's first minutes since Mata signed was that 30mins vs. Olympiakos

------------------------------------RVP/Welbeck--------------------------------------

--Kagawa/Mata/Adnan--------Kagawa/Mata-----------------Mata/Nani/Adnan------------

----------------------------Gundagon---------------Carrick-------------------------------------

---??--------------------BPCB------------Evans/Jones/Smalling-----------Rafael

Nobody can tell me that team cannot ball with the right training/coaching/tactics

New LB to provide more width and you got Rafael who can go wide and is good at cutting in
