Guy would walk into any strikeforce in Europe so why are United so different?

Top class player - SAF probably gone off his beetroot sandwhiches this week and Berb isn't his flavour of the month.

There's obviously been a dispute behind doors but tbh he wouldn't walk into any top team .

When he receives the ball at pace he slows down our play badly and he misses absolute sitters

Finished that season as the leagues joint top scorer and was then left out of the Champions league final squad in favour if Owen,

He then didn't join the rest of the players either on the bench or up in the stands, words must've been exchanged after that.

alex ferguson does not know how to work with or treat established stars

guy is useless when it comes to that

only good at making stars...bringing through the young and unknown has a 0% ratio with the already made

Pre-season backpacking trip about to start.

Travelling squad: Lindegaard, Amos, Johnstone, Ferdinand, Veseli, Vermijl, Wootton, Blackett; Valencia, Anderson, Carrick, Scholes, Powell, Kagawa, Bebe, Tunnicliffe, Lingard, Brady, Petrucci; Berbatov, Chicharito, Macheda

Hope Cole being left out is either a printing error or due to him being close to a loan deal.

it was mind boggling

owen?

Far from mind boggling

If you want a striker to come of the bench n grab a goal berba is not that guy. I think he's never scored as a sub for us.

Owen would've been a better option in that sitch

You don't leave a man out the squad who was the leagues joint top scorer that season.

That is just bad manners.

Sub MAYBE, not even on the bench though, Edmundo or Cantona woulda chinned Fergie for them pisstake there.

The problem I had with Berbatov's 10/11 season was although he scored a lot, the goals came in patches.

Like he's scores 5 goals in 3 games. The last game being the hat-trick against Pool. So now you're thinking he has to be the 1st name on the team sheet with that form. Then he doesn't score in his next 10 appearances. By now you're starting to get fed up with him but Fergie plays him anyway and he scores 5 goals vs Blackburn.

Or later on in the season when he didn't score in 4 games, then scored 5 in 2, followed by a 7 game drought, which ended with him saving the day with a late winner off the bench vs Bolton when we was down to 10 men.

The Rooney/Hernandez partnership and the chances he missed in the FA Cup vs City was the beginning of the end for him

Great player, unplayable on his day but can be so frustrating at times

This scored 5 goals against blackburn , 3 against the scouse and people wonder why we benched him .

He would play one great game then about 6 sh*t ones

the point is welbeck wasnt firing enough goals last season, at some point him and hernandez were still getting played even tho they couldnt score

berba hit 7 in 12 games......

some united fans dont like to hear dis but SAF is at fault.

Scoring was NEVER , EVER our problem .

Defence and midfield was so i don't get this point .

Wellbeck bar the goals brings far more to us as a TEAM than berbatov does
