From when Nike had the audacity to charge £90 or whatever that inflated price was for an England shirt. I sincerely hope Adidas can produce the kit like that in the previous page.

Can someone break down how much

1) AoN are payin for the training complex name.

2) DHL are paying for the training kits or was this deal bought out?

We bought out the rest of the DHL deal to sign a new deal with AON. The AON deal includes naming rights to Carrington, training kit sponsorship and pre-season tour sponsorship and is worth £15m per season until 2021.

This is why Gill has been championing financial fair play for years. Why Woodward has made reference to it in every conference call to investors.

If its brought in and enforced things will get messy for everyone else.

With that said, the Chevrolet represent ice who negotiated that deal for sacked shortly after when they realised they got robbed.

Louis van Gaal will effectively put some of Manchester United's players through a series of trials when he arrives to the club as the new manager on Wednesday.

The Dutchman is set to be presented to the media on Thursday but will meet his squad and staff 24 hours earlier and has reportedly put a block on loan deals until he has watched the squad in person.

Van Gaal flew back home to the Netherlands after guiding the Dutch to a third-place finish at the World Cup on Saturday with victory over hosts Brazil but is said to be keen to confirm his transfer plans after an early assessment .

Van Gaal has said he has only met two people at the club so far - the chief scout and the CEO - since since United confirmed him as their new manager in May.

But, according to the Daily Mail, Van Gaal has already put strict guidelines in place at Old Trafford as he has ordered the United players to eat together with the youth squad and coaching staff every day after training at Carrington.

Patrice Evra appears to be on the verge of leaving United and Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, whose contracts expired, have left. Federico Macheda and Alexander Buttner were also granted their exits but it is noticeable that most of United's fringe players have remained at the club until Van Gaal's arrival.

Anderson, who featured in just eight games and was sent out on loan to Fiorentina last season, appears the most likely to leave and will certainly be on trial.

Marouane Fellaini, who David Moyes brought with him from Everton last summer for £27.5 million, is another player whose United future is in doubt, having made 21 appearances and apparently having left Van Gaal unimpressed from afar.

Ashley Young, Shinji Kagawa and Wilfried Zaha are also vulnerable and may be either loaned out or sold.

Peak for certain man, but I'm totally behind this call from LVG.

He's already given clues that we wants to operate with a small squad of 20 or so with a regular starting 11. Rotation was the biggest hinderance towards the progress of most of our players, and overall performance  in the #Moyesera. Without CL this year this problem would worsen. We have the introduction of Wilson and Lawrence and even Varela to consider so I think that we should be awarding Squad numbers based on merit as opposed to reputation on the fringes. My concern is what happens to those who don't make the cut. We need to better consider our contract renewals, even aside from 3Hunna we're way to loyal to our playing staff IMO because we rarely release free agents and we're usually content to sell players for pittance to relieve the wage bill.

Players that I think LVG should trial are: Bebe, Lingard, Hernandez, Zaha, Powell, Fellaini, Valencia, Young, Nani, Fletcher, Cleverly, Wilson, Keane, Wilson, Lawrence, Varela

Any under 23's that don't make the cut should be loaned any one else axed IMO

I'd consider these safe: De Gea, Lindergard, Smalling, Jones, Rafael, Evans, Shaw, Carrick, Herrera, Mata, Kagawa, Welbeck, Rooney, Van Persie, Januzaj (From the dome so excuse if I miss anyone)

Which leaves half a dozen places for the trialists

Thoughts?

Think he'll go with between 22 and 24 man squad.

Would agree with most of that. Think If Nani and Kagawa come into the process with confidence and fit they'll do well same too with Hernandez. Lawrence was given a new contract last week a loan could work well for him if he goes to the right club. wouldn't mind Wilson hanging around till January and then going on loan. Keane should be part of the first team imo. Young will hopefully be rested and come into the process fresh with something to prove. Valencia should be safe in a Kuyt kind of way. Powell, Zaha and Lingard are the wildcards. Still think Fellani is safe for another season or at least half. Fletcher is apparently regarded highly in the squad so he may be given time. Cleverly will see it as a fresh start as well.

De Gea, Lindergard, Smalling, Jones, Evans, Rafael, Shaw, Carrick, Fellani, Herrera, Mata, Kagawa, Nani, Young, Welbeck, Rooney, RVP, Januzaj, Valencia, Hernadez, Zaha, another left back. Fletcher. and 1 of Lingard or Powell.

theres still a need for another centre back in there somewhere too.

Manchester United is the most valuable sports team in the world after agreeing a mammoth kit deal with adidas, according to Forbes.

United signed a deal with the German manufacturer on Monday worth £75m a season ($130m). Adidas will pay the club £750m to make their kit for 10 years from the start of the 2015-16 season.

Forbes reported that shares in United jumped five per cent after the deal was announced yesterday.

And they calculate that the club is now worth an estimated $3.6bn, jumping ahead of Real Madrid, who are thought to be worth around $3.3bn.

United's agreement with adidas means they have signed both the world's most expensive kit deal and most expensive shirt sponsorship deal.

Chevrolet are paying United an estimated £53m a year ($80m) to sponsor their shirt from the start of this season. Qatar Airways pay Barcelona $45m a year, Deutsche Telekom pay Bayern Munich $40m a year and Emirates pay Real Madrid $39m a year.

Away from football, Forbes value baseball's New York Yankees at $2.5bn and NFL franchise the Dallas Cowboys at $2.3bn.
