Moon was brilliant. No glamourous sci-fi glitter: just a tense, clever, and eerie story, told very well. Sam Rockwell does a fantastic job, he's virtually the only actor in the film (95% of it anyway) and carries it expertly.Spoilers

The atmosphere (no pun) was strikingly claustrophobic and chillingly cold. You can easily envisage someone going crazy in that environment. I liked how it didn't hinge entirely on a contrived 'twist' which gets thrust upon you - the information and secrets unravel organically as the film goes along. The nods to 2001 and classic pyschodrama sci-fi were cool. It was a good touch making the computer so similar to HAL that you're expecting it to turn villanous. Kevin Spacey was sick.

lol i bought my sister the dvd to this one year because she kept talkin about itso after a while i gave in and thought id watch it and im not gonna lie, it f*cked me up...had me doin some deep thinkin

For someone who hasn't watched 2001: A Space Odyssey (I saw it when I was like 5 on TV), should I make the effort? The age of the film has definately been a turn-off for the longest time but it's been recommended so many times and put in people's top 5 (though I have a sneaking feeling it's one of them films people just SAY they like for movie buff credentials)From a completely objective point of view, is it a film I would enjoy?
