I'm contemplating doing Dominican Republic again next year just as a holiday for myself to relax. I do remember the levels of women there being so fucking high.

Porchy, if you are looking to do Barbados be aware that pretty much first two weeks of August is cropover so prices are good to be a lot higher than the third week onwards. I'm actually going to be out there from August 2nd to August 10th, flying to grenada from there after that. I enjoyed this holiday so much last year I had to do it again but now I'm single it's going to be so much better.

The prices were silly. I had to double check I wasn't booking the Maldives.

I settled for ?? and will do ?? in September for seven days.

Yeah Varadero is the touristy side, all the nice hotels there. Obvs travelled about, checked out local night clubs and Havana city and Matanza city.

Lots of history even for Varadero, pre-revolution, was the mobsters and gambling hang out zone and rich cubans, before they fled to miami to maintain riches.

Tips... be prepared to tip alot! for everything a cuban does for you lol. Nice people.. communist/socialist run country from doctor to cleaner, everyone earns the same wage!

Don't dress to standout like a bait tourist, they will want higher tips

Don't rely on the oldsmobiles as they are prone to breakdowns if you going distance...

Don't bring up politics, unless they bring it up with you.

Stay in Havana city for the chicks. I was wid my girl.. So was a blacked out shades and peep flex. But yeah some stunnas, nearly broke neck staring a few times. Go to the clubs/bars!

Afro Latin, Native Latin, Euro Latin proper melting pot... and pretty much no obvious racism, everyone gets along with everyone. Equal earnings means all equal no obvious class divides either.

And educated people... Had a tour guide at one point... She was a full qualified teaching proffesor, but doing tour guides for tourists earns more for the tips...

They have some imported modern taxi's. Just giving you advice as thats what was given to me. By all means use the classic cars as taxi.

But remember they are cars running since 1940s and 50s its now 2017 so no brainer. It can happen.

Went there last month, Stockholm to be precise 

Renting out bikes and roaming around the city is a must

Bring your own alcohol because getting it sometimes is a myth

Its bloody expensive 

Getting into clubs can be long sometimes

Yeah getting into clubs is like a guest list. Try go spy bar. , visit the old cI was looking to go this month as well. Hotels prices was too much for a city break. Visit the old town for ur sightseeing
