TBH 2 weeks after he left Davies got injured for the season. This season Laursen's missed half of the campaign. He left because he wanted first team football (which he was getting under DOL but not under MON because of Davies and Laursens return to fitness).Right now he'd be starting for us, he'd have finished last season as first choice too.His decision, he came very close to playing Championship football while we've finished 6th and 6th atleast again.Good player, forever a legend for that goal and I'd gladly pay £10million for him tomorrow. But I'm sure he regrets leaving a whole lot more than MON does for allowing him the choice.

Gotta be absolute bull but...MANCHESTER CITY are ready to make a £15million swoop for Chelsea bad-boy Didier Drogba.Boss Mark Hughes made a firm inquiry about the Ivory Coast hitman in January and, although he was knocked back, the Londoners admitted a summer move was a possibility. Now City want to push through a three-year deal, worth around £150,000 a week, as soon as the window reopens.Hughes is desperate to recruit a powerful front man after cooling his interest in Blackburn’s Roque Santa Cruz.Drogba’s Stamford Bridge future was up in the air even before last week’s foul-mouthed television rant following their Champions League KO.There is a split within Chelsea over whether to keep him or not but City’s offer — for a 31-year-old who has been plagued by injury problems — would be hard to ignore.Meanwhile, Hughes insists he has no fears about his future at City. The Eastlands boss said: “People talking about me and my job is just water off a duck’s back.“But from within the club I feel I’m getting some credit. I have two years left on my contract at the moment. My view is I’ll be here next year.”

CARLO ANCELOTTI is expected to confirm tomorrow that he will take over at Chelsea in the summer.Sources close to the Italian coach believe he will make the announcement if his AC Milan side clinch a Champions League place by beating Udinese.Ancelotti, 49, was stunned and disappointed by the verbal attack launched on him by Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi this week.Berlusconi blamed the coach and his tactics for costing AC the Serie A title which will be won by Jose Mourinho’s Inter. That was the final straw for Ancelotti who is understood to have been in touch with Chelsea officials since to confirm he is taking the job at Stamford Bridge. He will remain at the San Siro for the remainder of the season before joining the Blues next month.Ancelotti has already been involved in identifying new players for Chelsea and SunSport revealed this week he has identified Aston Villa’s Ashley Young as a top target.

Manchester United snatch French starlet from under noses of Arsenal000home_image_527777.jpgManchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has snapped up French midfield starlet Paul Pogba - under the nose of Arsenal chief Arsene Wenger.Ferguson has tied up a deal to land the 16-year-old youth international who plays for crack nursery club Le Havre and the kid has opted for United ahead of the Gunners. It is a major signing triumph for Ferguson who has been unable to dominate the French market in the past few years because of Wenger's name and contacts. However United have been working on the deal for months and the defensive midfielder, a regular in the national under-16 side, will join their list of talented kids.Ferguson is working overtime on recruiting the next generation while also chasing the double at first team level, with Pogba's signature now imminent.Pogba can leave Le Havre in the summer - with the fee to be based on appearances and compensation on his 'education' at the Ligue 1 outfit.http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/200...15875-21360031/

Funny Chelsea go for another guy who can't speak any English, like Big Phil but he picked it up very quickly.
Scolari could speak decent enough english before he was here.As for Ancelotti , No thanks. Seems like it could be another Big Phil decision.

To be honest Mark Hughes' legendary status hasn't changedIf being involved with City has any baring on legendary statusthen both Sir Matt Busby and Denis Law wouldn't still be oved as much as they areHughes is a decent bloke by all accounts and i wish him all the best of luck after he leaves city and limited luck while he's there
