I understand what he he means when drunk, I have done it when younger. You seem a lot more focused and aware as you know that you shouldn't be driving so your focusing on driving correct, However kids drink driving is not cool so don't do it.

Alcohol alters your natural mind state, that is a fact, you might feel more focused when driving drunk, but you probably also feel like superman and loads of other things when drunk too.

Z4 softtop!! wear and tear and vandalism (buy the hard top fold away version if your after new shape) extra cost.

Just check what tax band it falls under in its emissions. Servicing im sure u know what to expect...

Performance might feel and sound better with roof off exposed, but reality cant beat a hard top coupe. As you will get alot of drag with wind into the cabin, even with wind deflector up. and not economical in long run, more fuel used to achieve the sensation of speed.

Not driven a Z4 but I assume lighter body and big engine... power to weight ratio. Will be good to zip away, but over high speed over long straights nah.

i don't drink drive..but i have done when i drove to club n got too waved... the roads were empty and i was driving slowly down all the backroads...didn't affect my driving at all

like i said most drink driving accidents are from people that drive like a twat even when sober..

Was just coming back from a drink up and my boy was dropping me off to my car, fairly drunk.

He was driving completely normal, as he always does, but done one right turn which he wasn't meant to, bang got pulled. Police were behind us and we didn't even clock. It was basically a traffic light which said no right turn, but everyone always cuts it and takes it. But today he had to get caught doing it while drunk. Probably just would of had a word and let us go if we wasn't drunk.

So they breathalysed hik and he was over the limit. They parked his car on a red line, and took him straight station. Tried hard to get the keys but they weren't having it.

So a ban and a fine is coming his way now. Man just bought a spanking new white A3 aswell.

Moral of the story... Fuck drink driving under ANY circumstances. No matter how good of a driver you think you are. If he wasn't drunk he probably would have clocked that there's Feds in his rear view mirror.

Also, say someone else is the designated driver for that night, and you see them at the bar abit too frequent is it socially unacceptable to tell them to ease off or something??

I used to drink drive A LOT!! Couple times I got home and genuinely didn't know how I made it.

Was in the car with 2 of my boys last year I think, wayyyyy over the limit. Got pulled by police, can't even remember why they pulled me but they didn't breathalise me and I learnt my lesson that day. Never again!
