Jordan Henderson has been announced as the cover star for FIFA 16 after the creators EA Sports put it to a public vote for the first time in the video game's history.

 

Liverpool's newly-appointed captain is the first Reds player to feature on the front cover and will feature alongside Barcelona star Lionel Messi. 

 

He becomes the latest face to feature on the game which first launched as FIFA International Soccer in late 1993.

The president of Turkish club Antalyaspor has said that Brazil legend Ronaldinho is signing for the newly-promoted side.

Gultekin Gencer also confirmed that Samuel Eto’o is set to sign for the club in a move that would reunite the veterans for the first time since their Barcelona heyday.

Gencer was quoted by TRT Spor speaking about his new signings. He even hinted at further big name arrivals: “We reached an agreement with Ronaldinho,” he told TRT Spor. “I think within two days it’ll be made official.

“Besides Eto’o and Ronaldinho, we will make another big-name signing.

“When it’s done, we’ll set the world on fire!”
