if you have 2 from the same club one of them has to have a clause to sign them permanently or something like that

Correct

Premier League rules limit clubs to just two season-long domestic loans but international deals are, essentially, limitless.

And so with Lukaku in from Chelsea and Barry loaned from Manchester City, Martinez will have to scour the international market this month.

League regulations also say that no side can have more than one domestic loan from the same club.

But the Glazer period is arguable the most successful in the clubs history...

If you had told a United fan in 2003 that we'd break our record transfer fee in January 2014 they'd of said, "yes naturally" if you told them it would be £37 million they'd of said you were mad and that it's be more than that based on current spending and inflation within the game. This is without taking into account the mad mad spending of City PSG etc.

United have been successful despite the money being taken out not because of it, is it really that hard to understand, I'm left wondering about what else could've been won had United continued spending like we were in the late 90's and early 2000's up until Fergie had an Arguement over horse sperm.

Your logic is the Glazer's have stemmed the spending on players and taken £600 million pounds out if the club, that's what's made the last 8 years successful, if you want to have a Arguement about the ownership come to the table with sensible and rational thought and ideas.

The glazers have been at the club for nearly 10 years now. They are not going anywhere.

As I said before there is no point in crying over spilt milk.

that said. ..

So financial backing is all about breaking transfer records? lol

You seem to forget you bid for Bale. Had he said yes would you still have the  same view? It seems that buying for buying sake would satisfy you. Barcelona have spent far less than Madrid in recent seasons but whose had more success?

Ferguson was allowed to build a successful  team and so far so has Moyes. The numerous bids and recent acquisitions prove this so your view of "not giving financial backing" is complete nonsense

What's the common opinion on here, do people think he's just thick or is he trollin

why doesn't he understand that any money spent on Manchester United is money generated by Manchester United?

Or is his definition of financial backing different to the conventional one?

lets try to break it down like this, Since takeover anyone who has paid to go to ONE game at Old Trafford whether that be a champions league semi final, or a FA cup game against a non league team or a pre-season friendly has put more money into Manchester United than the Glazer family.

If you've parked your car in the car park and paid £5 if you've bought an official pair of socks if you've bought a key ring.......

This is fact. Manchester United's "financial backing" comes from the fanbase and sponsorship (which is in such demand due to the size of the fanbase and profile of the club a profile that was built and established long before the Glazer family became involved.

they acquired the club to take money out without having to put another penny in. As a result they can now finance their other business interests.

what is so difficult to understand.

yep.

fegie and david gill.

Sunday Express Sport can reveal that former boss Ferguson and ex-chief executive Gill spearheaded hush hush talks to secure Mata while attending last Sunday’s Premier League clash with Jose Mourinho’s side at Stamford Bridge.

Once manager David Moyes had approved the move for the Spaniard Ferguson and Gill swept into action using their contacts to seal a deal before leaving West London.

United knew they had to learn quickly from the mistakes of the summer transfer window in which hesitation deprived them of the opportunity of signing Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona and the chance of hijacking Real Madrid’s move for Tottenham’s Gareth Bale.

It also cost them another £4.5 million in the eventual deal for Everton’s Marouane Fellaini.

Since then Gill’s successor Ed Woodward has confessed some naivety over last summer’s signings strategy and was happy to stand back and allow Ferguson and Gill to open some doors over Mata.
