Lol @ thinking lvg has a say in as you said long term targets

You have a very naive view of football

Ivg prob never heard of Shaw too

This is all coming across very ac milanish

You have a very spoon fed and sheltered view of football

This guy feel out with the biggest c*nt owners in football about players being purchased for him and contract renewals, he eventually leaves bayern Munich because of this issue and a few other things

You really think after taking the job at a club a similar size to bayern Munich with management who would be intimidated by bayerns top management he didn't sit down and have hours of discussions about this, seriously?

Come on you are better than this y.porch

People said the same about Rio. If he has the potential to be a force for a decade why not.

Rio had already played in CL semi finals, been the British transfer record, worlds most expensive defender, youngest defender to play for England and Leeds captain though.

Rio was also bought off the back of being England's beat player at a successful world cup

He was also 24 when he came here, and people still said the same about him like I just said. My point is, he was worth it - without scoring 30 goals a season. No Shaw doesn't have the same credentials but he has the same potential, and in 10 years time 30m could look like a steal.

Of course in 10 years time it could be a bargain even in 3 years time

But it could also be a flop

That's the toss of the coin you get when you spend money on potential

In the Daily Mail Paul Scholes said utd paying too much for Shaw... This guy went his whole

Career not saying anything to now coming with his opinion on everything.

Truss for someone who was shook of cameras and microphones has suddenly found a lot of bass in his voice

http://www.teamtalk.com/news/2483/9363441/Paul-Scholes-worried-for-England-and-calls-for-Premier-League-limit-on-foreigners

What would a limit on foreigners actually do?

He thinks it will benefit the national team?

There was hardly any foreigners in the 70s,80s,90-93

How good were The National team then?

Never understood this unwritten law that you should only spend big money on attacking players. Yeah, goals wins you games but how often does a league title get won without a strong defence.

Let's just be happy that we're actually spending more money than our rivals instead of window shopping and hearing the 'no value in the market' excuse.

People need to give the limit foreigners argument a rest. Improve the coaching instead of giving average ballers a free pass into the first team.
