reading the Satanic Bible again, need to refresh my understanding

for you lot looking for a good read i recommend The Handmaid's Tale, good dystopian novel

allow that sh*t man

Haha, I swear Durty was reading that a while ago.

/

I absolutely hate the handmaids tale, stupid feminist dystopian crap.

Just finishing off dreams of my father, then I'm going to read Better Day Coming:Blacks and Equality 1890-2000 by Adam Fairclough. Want to read a whole heap of books this summer so will be back for suggestions.

I've only just got round to reading 1984. It's one of those books that I'd always been slightly embarrassed I hadn't read; finished it recently and it's brilliant.

Martin Amis is always a good read, 'The Rachel Papers' is my favourite of his. Also Graham Greene, it's quite depressing but 'The End of the Affair' is easily one of the best books I've ever read.

If anyone likes The Catcher in the Rye, Stephen Chbosky's 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' has a similar protagonist. It's incredible.

For light reading, Nick Hornby is always a safe bet. And for females moreso, Jodi Picoult and Dorothy Koomson can never go wrong.

American Psycho was horribly compelling. After the bit with the rat I had to put it down for a while before I could carry on reading, I felt sick everytime I tried to carry on!
