Would love to have this man in the team right now,

In the Fulham game Rooney's reaction to Carrick's goal showed he's the person with the most passion. That in itself is disgusting.

I'm looking around the squad and wondering who the talkers are. Who's giving Cleverly a hard time when he misplaces a pass, who is getting people up on the pitch when things are t going right?

Roy Keane has accused Manchester United of cutting corners in the transfer market.

The Reds have taken the first steps in strengthening their side by signing the Spanish midfielder Juan Mata for £37m from Chelsea, but it has become clear that their new manager David Moyes will need to spend big in the summer transfer window if he is to halt a decline that has seen the champions slide to seventh in the Premier league.

Since the Glazers took over the club in May 2005, they have spent over £696m on interest fees, bank charges and debt repayment, and around half that much on players: £382m.

Keane told itv.com: "They've kind of cut corners in terms of transfers in the last few years, they've not gone out and got the big players, and it's just caught up with them this year."

United already face a fight to qualify for the Champions League this season and they will be desperate to get past the Greek side Olympiacos in the final 16 of the competition on 25 February, which is by no means a foregone conclusion.

Keane, however, sees no reason to be overly pessimistic about their future under Moyes. "I think Man United need five or six players. If it happens in the summer then instead of being fearful of it, embrace it – it's exciting. These can be exciting times for Man United. Get them back to the very top where they belong."

United's former captain, now an ITV pundit and assistant to Martin O'Neill at the Republic of Ireland, added: "There's always something to play for. You've always got to win your next football match so if you're telling me in January that your season is over, or when the Champions League starts, that's nonsense.

"You're playing for pride, you're playing for points, and United, if they do go out of the Champions League, still want to get in it next year.

"I think beating Olympiacos will be the priority. On form at this moment in time you have to say the Champions League is a long way off for Manchester United. But lots will change over the next few months. I think United will beat Olympiacos," Keane said.

"They'll have Rooney, Van Persie back after injuries. At this moment in time, would I fancy United for the Champions League? Probably not. But they're still a threat, they're still there. Big team, big players and in a couple of months' time when the big players are back up to speed with their fitness United will be a dangerous team.

"Watching United more closely perhaps than other people, you still think the Van Persies and the Rooneys if they're at it, will be a threat to the competition. I still think United can be dangerous if they get their act together over the next month or two."

Keane also felt that Moyes needed to be given breathing space to make his mark on the side. "I think the man deserves plenty of time. I think people have been afraid to use the word that there might be 'rebuilding' going on but that's exactly the word I would use."

Moyes as already said is reactive

 

He never usually plays Rafael away, let alone against a big club

 

He played Jones in the home fixture and had him mark Ozil all game, cant see him changing that today, 

 

Giggs because Moyes will say he has experience against Arsenal and he can cross with his left from the left and drop into a middle 3 if Arsenal get in control of the game

 

Other 3 pick themselves for Moyes

 

Although he loves a Valencia/Young, wouldnt surprise me if one started instead of Giggs either

Manchester United (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Smalling, Evans, Vidic (Cleverley ht), Evra; Carrick, Jones; Valencia, Rooney, Kagawa (Giggs, 78); Van Persie (Fellaini, 85).

That's what happened last time so I don't see the cautious Moyes straying too far away from that.

With Evans injured Smalling with move to CB and Rafael will start. Mata will start ahead of Kagawa.

Tom Cleverley, the Manchester United midfielder, has closed his Twitter account, days after saying that he takes criticism with "pinch of salt".

 

Alongside beleaguered manager David Moyes, Cleverley has been the subject of abuse from United fans this season, and the 24-year-old said in an interview published on Tuesday that he feels he has been made a 'scapegoat' for the club's poor form this season, in which they currently sit in seventh place, with 21 points fewer at this stage than they had last season.

 

"When I first started getting singled out, it stung," the England international had told the Mirror. "But it's something you have got to learn to take when the team is not doing well.

 

"My job goes under the radar at times. I am not a player who's going to beat three or four people and stick it in the top corner or go round tackling people like Roy Keane.

 

"I would like the fans on my side and it hurts a little bit when you have grown up at the club and love the club every bit as much as the supporters.

 

"But there are other people in the current United squad who have been through this kind of thing and they have made sure their quality shone through.

 

"I have got to look at those people. I have learned to take it with a pinch of salt and I'm sure it will make me stronger for the rest of my career.

See now we're getting to the good part, Hodgson got to this stage much earlier than Moyes but that's because he's a complete c*nt as well as an over rated manager. 

 

You'll start seeing him taking shots at people who dare to question his tactical approach more regularly and generaly be pricklier to journalists, he's starting to feel very delicate about his methods being questioned and the amount of scrutiny he's under.
